      Hmmm...I didn't know this was coming up already. I wonder if the mrs will let me go find a Sig 229 that I've been wanting to get. I better do my "honey do" list this week so I have enough brownie points to go. :)

      So I'm wondering in a SHTF situation and currency is worthless how does having silver or any precious metals help? Wouldn't trading goods be more beneficial? Or am I missing something?

The event itself occurred 12 years ago and from what I understand, officer training has changed since then because of this particular event. I think more people should see...

      Don't neglect good wool hiking socks. Great socks can make even the most average boot a good boot. We're not talking tube socks or hanes stuff you get at Wallyworld, but quality stuff. Just food for thought.

      I must be missing the point of this post. In a SHTF situation, the least of my worries is what I have on my playlist. Shouldn't you be using your ears to listen to your surroundings? I'm sure you will be plenty amped up in this scenario to need music to help "get you in the mood".

      Left Handed Oriented Pistols?

      I'm a lefty and I use a M&P 40. Ambi slide release and mag release can be put on either side. However I am right eye dominant so I don't have the issue with shell ejection crossing my field of vision.

      Mounting a holster to a vehicle's console?

      Yup these are the FAST holsters. FAST Holster I picked up a couple of these magnets. They are very strong but don't seem to harm the finish on my M&P.
