Looking for another AR 15: M4 or Lightweight barrel?

That seems to be the consensus of those that actually own a LW barrel. Thanks. I really just want people on the internet to think I'm cool, and I don't think I'll be able to do that without a tactical pry-bar rifle. (Insert purple for that) So there aren't any concerns over the...

Looking for another AR 15: M4 or Lightweight barrel?

I'm in the market for another AR 15, and I had pretty much decided on the LE6920MP-B. However, the LT6720-R caught my eye, and now I'm trying to decide between the two. I've read several different opinions on the M4 profile barrel versus the lightweight barrel. Some people are of the belief...

      Noblesville, IN Appleseed - Oct 06-07, 2012

I learned a lot and had a great time shooting last weekend. It was a pleasure laying in the mud with you guys (and warmer, too ;))

      AAR: Eagle Creek Pistol Range

I went to ECPR for the first time last Sunday and had a great time. The staff was friendly, and I was able to get my 15-22 sighted in at 25 yards and verified at 100. I'll definitely be going back.

      Boresnake vs bore brush

I usually use a bore brush and patches and then finish up with the bore snake. Keeps everything looking good to my eyes.

      New Range In Greenfield??

Well, hopefully it will be open before winter. It sure would be nice to have a semi-local indoor range when it gets colder out.

      New Range In Greenfield??

Nice, my parents live in Greenfield, and I'm familiar with the area, having graduated from GCHS. Any idea when it will be opening?

She's 11, but for reasons I cannot begin to fathom, a weekend shooting wasn't as attractive as a girls weekend doing girly things. :dunno:

Although that would be fun, someone has to watch our daughter, and I called "not it" first!

Thanks for the info! I received wife approval (important for weekend events), so I signed up for both days. I look forward to meeting some fellow INGOers there. Less than a month to go :)

      Happily Lost A Gun Today

Very nice! I wish my wife could shoot like that! I carry a P238 SAS as well and find it a pleasure to shoot with the extended magazine. Looks like you better stay on your wife's good side. Good call letting her keep the P238 ;)

      Noblesville, IN Appleseed - Oct 06-07, 2012

I'm seriously considering going to this, although I've never been to an organized event of this nature. It's close enough that I would be able to attend both days. Sorry for the ignorant question, but is project appleseed basically an instructional event? I'm trying to get a grasp on what to...

Where do I join 1911s anonymous?

That is a strange coincidence! I left with an SP2022 and my SGL21 should be @ Indy Gun Safety by the end of the week, so I'll have to put off another 1911 for now, unfortunately.

Where do I join 1911s anonymous?

I saw the stainless loaded when I was there last Saturday. It was a nice looking 1911, and the only reason I didn't allow myself to hold it is because I really wanted an AK instead of another 1911. Congrats, OP. I hope you enjoy it.

      Thanks Alan/A&A Optics

Back in June (I know, this is a little late), I picked up a Viper HS for my 6920 and a VMX3 with swing mount to use with a Sparc on my 15-22. Alan was nice enough to take some time and install the Viper and cantilever mount on my 6920. I've been really pleased with the scope so far, and the...

I bought a pink gun today

I understand being a purist, and a pink gun isn't something that I'm dying to own, personally. Conversely, the color/design helps girls (or girly boys) relate to firearms. That is a good thing! I'm considering picking one up for my daughter. Sure, she can already shoot the M&P 15-22, but the...

      Colt Mustang

A McRib and a new pocketlite is a combo I can get behind. I'm waiting for these to become readily available.

      Scope for 6920

Thanks, I'll send you an e-mail when I get home tonight. In addition to the scope and mount, I'm also interested in the VMX3 w/ swing mount to go with my sparc, which will be moving from the 6920 to the M&P 15-22.

      Scope for 6920

Thank you both for the great info. I think I'll look into the Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5x. The new 1-6x scopes sound great, but I'm in the market now. I didn't think about the BDC points being too large, but that would definitely be an issue. I really want a small point on the reticle for aiming.

      Scope for 6920

I'll be using this for plinking and range duty, probably 100 to 400+ yards. I was looking at 2-8x. Do you recommend 1-4(ish) over a higher magnification? Thanks for the info.
