Just picked up a new handheld GPS. It's a Delorme PN-40. I've played with it a little, but still have a lot to learn on the ins and outs of the unit. Does anybody have one and have any valuable info on tricks/tips with the thing and GPS use when STHF. Thanks.
Good job with the situation. Everyone stayed safe. Sounds like your instincts proved correct. You weren't to quick on the draw, yet were prepared to act.
I'm curious to what would have unfolded if you chose not to "wait until you were down the road" to re-holster/chamber your weapon. I don't feel the LEO has the authority to make this demand.
3 years ago I said I'd never own a Glock. I hated the way they felt in my hand. But, after researching and talking with some fellas on carry firearms, I decided I liked the idea of no external safety. The gun I was carrying was a Berretta 93. I ended up picking up a Glock 23 at the Indy 1500...
Picked up a Glock 23 for $489. Been wanting one for a while. Picked up a couple of boxes of Federal Gold Dot ammo for 28 bucks a piece. Enjoyed myself but, it was a heck of a crowd. It made getting around and looking at tables pretty difficult.
Beretta 96
My dad took me to the Indy 1500 to get my first handgun. I believe he was expecting me to get something slightly small or more concielable. But, I loved the way it felt in my hand, so he told me I should buy it. Interestingly, that is the same time I learned (at the age of 19) I...
I saw the 2012 program on Discovery. Pretty interesting, however, if the earth collides with an earth-sized meteor, while simultaneously every volcano blows its top, we have a massive earthquake at every fault line, and most of the world is flooded by tsunamis.....I don't think I'm gonna need...
I would wanna know if he had a LTCH. And even then, with his history, be very wary. I would want to accompany him. I'm not gonna possibly be an accessory to a crime and lose my gun/right to carry.
I have one
I came into a Hi-Point a few years ago really, really cheap. I bought it to carry while working with the local search and rescue team so as if I lost it in the woods...oh well. It seems to perform ok. My main beef with it is I am unable to push the pin out to field strip the gun...
I also am not able to CC at work. To agree with some other posts, I believe the most that could be done to you is termination...if your employer wanted to take it that far. However, I believe the State of Indiana has passed a law that states an employer cannot dictate whether you have a weapon...
Hello all, came across this site a few days ago while looking up some information on the shooting recently in Salem, IN (very close to where I reside). I'm really impressed with the various forums and threads. Hope I can learn a little and possibly interject some useful information at times...
