Common sense prevails AGAIN!!

So I had a short and sweet debate about guns tonight with a friend of mine.

Definitely sounds completely uninformed.

I get the same a lot about global warming crap. People try to talk about a subject they know next to nothing about, and in general I'm far more informed.

Yea, that's usually the way the discussion falls. Common sense does prevail. After many years of don't ask, don't tell that you are carrying in my family, this discussion occured yesterday.

Mom: Would you take me to _______________.

Me: Sure, I'll drive you.

Mom: Did you bring your gun?

Me: HUH??? (surprised look on face) Why do you ask?

Mom: I want to make sure you bring it when we go out.

Me: (Happiness and joy). Sure, no problem.

Education and persistance do pay off!!!

It's nice to know that we are educating people out there about the 2nd amendment and that people are finally getting it!! I love debating about guns and gun control, the funny thing is you really don't need to go into detailed facts about it. I have either got their attention and they end up agreeing with me or they just shut up and go on their way. I seal the deal right off the bat with the simple logic of "well pencils mis-spell words then right?"

Sounds about like the few debates I've had with those freaks. I always kill them with facts. This one just shuts them up: The average number of traffic deaths verses gun deaths per year. Traffic deaths typically is in the area of 45,000 each year, whereas gun deaths are around 5000.

I have several personal stories that I may tell such an ant-gunner. If I go into detail about how a friend of mine was brutally rapped and murdered in their own home, it usually leaves them quite speechless. Ignorance is bliss. Most people live in la-la land and think that "it will never happen to me." My hope is that they wake up before they become a victim.......or at the very least abstain from hindering my right to not be a victim.

I always tell people like that .....that they are entitled to their opinions because of the freedom won because of the citizens right to own guns and they keep that right because the citizens are allowed to own guns....

So just thank me for allowing you to keep your right to an opinion....
