The South Shore is shut down for today. I've got a friend stuck in Chicago. He stayed the night with some random people last night because he couldn't come home.

My daughter and friends drove from Green Bay to Kalamazoo Michigan last night! She's crazy like her mother!!

It's freaking cold out and about 3 feet from the walls in the house on the north and west sides....

Hate the cold.....

Going to have to add insulation to those walls when the weather is better.....

Well as the 17th hour begins...I can clearly see several cars trucks and semis going over the inland steel overpass, and I can clearly see several of them coming off northbound cline to michigan avenue. So it must not be that bad that all these other people are able to drive. Still waiting on a front end loader to come plow me a route out. Im cold, enjoy that warmth at home.

Our 12-lb Pom went out, peed, and sat in the snow because her feet were cold. I had to run out in my slippers to get her. No time to put on boots.

My big Akita has decided she can 'hold it' until spring. Maybe summer. She loves the snow and the cold but told me that 'this is just stupid' and refuses to go out there!

16 hours done. 16 to 24 more to go.
cast terminated, again. Water to cap off, froze. The funny thing....... the water is froze, next to a working heater. But the heater can't keep it above 32.

Skulldaddy, people are trickling in. It depends on where they are from. Main roads are ok, with caution. Its the side streets that have the problems.

Well, time to gulp down some ravioli. If i can find my stupid can opener.
