I rotate between an Officer's Model .45, a Glock 23, and a Kel-Tec P3AT, depending on the relative threat level. Keep a rifle stashed in the truck too, usually an M4.
I would say hoarders, but a friend from work bought his very first firearm over the weekend. He stopped by our out-of-the-way WalMart and scored a brick yesterday before work. I haven't seen .22LR at WalMart in over a year, but he got there just after they'd put it out, I guess. There must...
Sorry to hear you got one with issues, but these are great guns when sorted out. I had a Norinco RPK back in the early 90's and it was very nearly a work of art. Century really should be embarrassed, considering the frequency of stories like yours and how little extra it would take to hire a...
Anyone been tracking ammo prices online? I don't keep a running spreadsheet, but I swear everything's jumped $.05-.10/round in the past week or so. I guess ammo has gotten a lot like gasoline now, in that any perceived disturbance in the supply chain will drive the price up.
I've used several of the UTGs on economy builds and they have performed just fine. I recall one having the top rail about .015" lower than the upper receiver rail, but that didn't affect anything on that particular rifle's optic setup.
Awww man, that's disgusting. :rockwoot:
ONLY thing I'd change on that would be swapping in a selector with the bolt hold-open notch, and that's just a personal preference. At six months in, you should be getting a stamp any day now, right?
I'll always default to classes. Not only do you get what the instructor is teaching, but you can gain the insight and techniques brought to the table by all your classmates.
I'll be "that guy" and weigh in with the "There are no accidental discharges" angle. Glocks are no more dangerous than hammers or chainsaws and we all know it. Learn how to use them properly and they're all useful tools that serve no end of good. Pick one up and start futzing with it with...
When you carry a Glock, you need to grow especially sensitive to "shoving" your pistol into the holster. This is such a common way to shoot yourself with a Glock or any other "safe action" pistol that I can't believe we're still discussing it. I especially loved the comment from Mayor Leonard...
Plenty of rain here in the Louisville/Clarksville/Jeffersonville area. I was in Madison this morning and watched about a 1/4" of ice materialize as I headed home around 9:00, but that seemed to evaporate around the Sellersburg area.
East St. Louis is in St. Clair County, Illinois. It's a fantastic justification for up-armored Humvees, or at least it was the last time I was through there.
It's a 122mm tracked howitzer. Basically an APC with a gun mounted on it. Nowhere nearly as mobile as an M1 Abrams but impressive looking, never the less.
