My last one was my Blazer... electric tank pump, almost 3/4 full, middle of January a few years ago, like 10 degrees out, gave dad a ring and he looked at the fuel gauge, looked at the thermometer, and we towed it to the shop, lol... We did NOT feel like messing with it when it was that cold out.

Yeah I will not mess with any more unless it is on a lift.

I've always wanted to replicate of one the Mayberry squad cars. I had it figured out which year Ford I'd use. I think it was 62? They got a new car for the show every year since Ford was a sponsor, but that one was my favorite.

Dewey Oscar is coming home with me tomorrow.

I have to get it aligned after I pick it up.

Still need the change the valve covers, add vintage air and do the Dakota Digital Dash.

View attachment 53237 Throwback Thursday! Osceola Dragway 1968, They Raced east to West then.

As to the direction they raced back then, there is a pretty good size hill on the west end of the property that served as a barricade to Ash/County line road. I ask my dad when I was younger why that was there and he said they used to run the other way and several cars ended up going across the road after not getting slowed down.

I grew up about 2 miles from the track. I could hear them every Sunday morning. We used to ride our bikes down there after church and watch what we could from next to the road. Dang hill blocked most of the view.

Polishing valve springs for an Olds engine that the "man" is helping a guy put together. This poor guy has blown up this engine many times. As long as he doesn't get stupid wth it, it won't happen again now.

Olds engines are not high winders like the venerable SB chev.
When you treat them as such they tend to come unglued.
