Went to Aldi's yesterday myself. We needed coffee creamer, bread and eggs. Going grocery shopping whenever I want instead of just after work is a perk of retirement I'll enjoy, these mad rushes and weekend shopping trips won't be missed.
Our two freezers, pantry and closet full of home canned deliciousness keep us from playing the stupid games at the grocery store and has for many years.
Went to Countrymark and got another 5 gallons of ethynol-free gas for genny and gonna just sit back and watch this play out.
If ya have to go out, please be careful, freezing rain is no joke.

Ugh, I actually need to go to the store just for milk and bread, now I'm going to look like one of those crazies.

They're calling for lots of freezing rain and sleet for us, so being out in the country I'm fully expecting power to be out for a bit. I've got plenty of food stocked up, but that's normal. I made sure my 20v batteries are charged for my Rigid radio and to charge phone, and I have plenty of propane to run my big buddy heater and stove.

All I got at Kroger was an onion and a couple of jalapenos for making chili, plus 2 cases of beer and a 1.75 liter of Jagermeister. The gal at the self-checkout got a kick out of that. She said, "I guess you don't need bread, milk and eggs if you've got enough beer and Jagermeister!" :lmfao:
Beer is just liquid bread isn’t it?

Besides, I have a bread machine.

    I can hear that picture.
Shockingly quiet on dry pavement. Really.

Tire noise, even in a snow tire, is something I can't stand.

I read a bunch of reviews before I bought them and all commented on how surprisingly quiet they are.

Yeah. I'm usually a Nokian man but I got them Blizzaks really cheap. We'll see how they compare.
Blizzak man too. Had them on a Honda Civic and it did better in the snow than my Jeep with cheap all season tires. Now I have a set of Blizzaks on my Tacoma and with the clearance can get through nearly anything on the road. Can barely get the tires to skid/spin.

A set of snow tires is cheaper than the deductible if you can't stop and get a fender bender. Mount them on a cheap set of rims and you are good to go. In addition using the snow tires in the winter means less miles (longer life) for your regular tires.
