Anyone know a place/someone that can repair a circuit board? Must be local. Board itself is not damaged but a component came off and needs to be soldered back in place. Pretty small board ... pretty small part ... so I need pro level work.

    I solder.
Anything beyond my capability, a coworker is a genius with the solder iron.

Right now I need to do the Close of Books for the month for the Post finances.
Then, I have to figure out why my AC isn't working.

    So I'm a bit busy.

    Planned obsolescence

Pulled the wire strip and the connector came with it.
    Or operator error.

Ummmm it's a printer right ? Most of them are pretty cheap to replace and what we in the industry call a disposable item... Just saying...

They have plastic gears and other assorted parts in them and if it is a inkjet the heads have a usable life span till they will fail to print properly. The printers in the 75 to 250 range are these disposable printers I speak of... Just letting you know before you get too deep in the expense of possibly fixing the printer. Just so you know a bench tech is normally between 60 and 90 a hour for something like that, some numbers to help assess the job.. Hope you are able to get it back running anyways...

This is the most precise soldering job I did. I kneeled on my harmony remote. a ribbon cable connector would have been appreciated.
