Actually, the one thing I forgot on my run yesterday is kind of important in this weather - kleenex. Guess I'll have to breka out the TP for the runny noses.
My brother in Cleveland has great success shooting them with a pellet gun. He trees them with his dogs and then waits a moment to shine a light up in the tree. Critters would live if they didn't look down at him every time. Now he just has to get the crazy neighbor to stop feeding them.
Got back a while ago from the Kroger in Whiteland. You would have thought the end was truly near. No carts, no bread, and people shopping like their lives were in danger. Hopefully I have everything I need to get through the weekend. Going to go make one more pass of salt on the driveway and the...
Weather folks at the NWS office are saying 6-10" in the forecast discussion. Depends upon the track of the system. Gonna hit the store today for provisions and hopefully not have to venture out for the rest of the weekend.
My wife is on call this weekend at the old folks home, and is already planning on living there pretty much from Sunday afternoon onwards. She's one of the closest people to the place, and some live as far south as Brown County. While it'l make for a nice check, she'll be burnt out after that.
The best app I've found is Pandora. I listen to it a lot when around the house working on stuff on my iPod.
The added feature I use the most is my iCloud calendar. I would be lost without it.
The absolute coolest thing is Siri. Look online and you'll find all kinds of neat tricks you can make...
Starting to snow again here in Johnson County. The models seem to be firming up about the system for Sunday-Monday as a real beast. Not thrilled with the idea of -10F temps at all. May have to pick me up some slippers and some undershirts to keep warm around the house.
Probably 3 inches or so on the ground here in Franklin. Looks like Sunday into Monday will be a real humdinger though. The conservative of the three models is calling for 6-8 inches, and the other two say 8-10. Kid may get some extra vacation out of that.
^this 1000%^ We always go this way when we go skiing in WI, and while it's quoted by Google to be about a 30 minute extra drive, it's usually a wash and just as quick. Very little traffic the whole way.
It does indeed. I need to hit the freezer and grab something to lay out for dinner tonight then, since we're not going out anymore either. Although, that's more for our debt snowballs sake than anything else.
I liked and used Handbrake for a long time, but it seemed to take ages to convert on my PC, which was odd considering I've got a quad core system with 16GB of ram. I switched to Freemake VC and it coverts much faster, and seems to have some options that I never found on Handbrake, like the...
I'm trying to keep mine simple for this year. Other than joining the INGO fitness club, I just have four:
1) Keep going with the dept snowball. We'll have Citi Card killed off in February, over $7,000 in about 8 months. Capital One is next.
2) Read at least two books a month.
3) Complete 1...
