The (il)logic behind this proposal is simply mind-boggling. A 5-second Google search brought up the relevant text from the Heller decision:
"...The handgun ban and the trigger-lock requirement (as applied to self-defense) violate the Second Amendment. The District’s total ban on handgun...
In my life, I have only ever owned 1 shotgun at a time. I started with my Dad's Winchester, moved to Beretta, then to Benelli, and now to Remington. I love the way Remington stands behind their products. I may stay with them for a long time.
I'm going to the Indiana Gun Club on Saturday to test...
See, this is why my INGO membership is worth every penny I paid!
I called Remington, and the rep said no problem, here let me get your address, what's the serial number, I'll make sure the order goes out today. I really didn't expect that at all.
Hookeye, you are a good person.
NO NO NO!
Be very careful cutting the stock on the Nova. The stock is molded onto the receiver and is (to my knowledge) NOT replaceable. If you hack it too much, thhat will be a serious issue to deal with.
Yesterday, I went to 500 Guns in Indy and traded my Benelli Nova combo for an 11-87 Super Mag in great condition. The guys there were great, and I feel very comfortable recommending them to anyone looking for a good deal.
On to my issue: The 11-87 Super Mag is similar to the 1100 in that they...
Hi there Colt. Yes, I am super happy with the Remy. The best part for me was going into your store and not feeling like I was bothering you (unlike Dicks, Gander Mtn and the like). You guys were helpful, listened to and addressed my concerns, and overall just made the whole deal a pleasant...
My first gun show ever. If I was rich and in the market or an AR, I probably would have been fairly happy. As it was, there was almost no one interested in shotguns (buying, selling, or trading). on a whim afterwards, I stopped by 500 Guns on 16th St. and traded my Benelli Nova combo for an...
The "gun show loophole" is and has for time time been used as a "scare phrase" in a similar fashion as "assault weapon". Sadly, gun control zealots trot the phrase out without knowing (or caring) what it really means.
I am a huge fan of the Benelli Nova. I have the 28" bbl for trap/skeet/hunting, and for HD, the 18" bbl and +2 mag extension. Great all around shotgun. And it takes 3.5" loads.
I second the vote on the Benelli Nova. You can really get a good deal on one of those, and Carlson's makes barrels for it now, so you don't have to pay $400 for a Benelli replacement.
Yes, unfortunately it involves using a bandsaw to cut down the end of the stock and using a grind-to-fit Limbsaver pad to replace the (now) ill-fitting OEM pad.
That is one stand-up Sheriff. He made the right decision, and he struck exactly the right tone in the letter to the supplier. No histrionics, just a beautiful, clear explanation. Well done.
