I'm a couple of hours into it. I never even finished number 2. lol
So far it's pretty good. There's definitely more character development over the first one.
I have the 9mm Compact but had the opportunity to shoot a buddy's shield this weekend. Those things are really sweet. I'm gonna buy one if I can find one. :O
Renting guns is a great idea. With that said, why not a small revolver? I have a S&W airweight 642 that my mom and girlfriend both love. It has a heavy trigger(as do most of the DAO guns recommended) but it's smooth and predictable with a nice break.

When you are the member of a forum for a period of time, you learn who to trust and who not to, to a point. I've met plenty of real life friends through forums and I trust their opinion over some random...
My bro in law has high BP but no insomnia. He lost 30 lbs and was able to come off medication. I guess his genetic trigger is set low. I wish you the best of luck.
