I just stumbled on this thread, if this has already been covered then my apology. The best site for saving info is Home - Badger & Blade they have reviews of every shaving product/ blade/ razor and a shave wiki with tons of info. Cover DE and straight plus most of the multi-blade stuff.
I totally agree with WebSnyper. Have her take the NRA pistol class. She will get a ton of great info and shot several guns in at least 2 calibers. It will be money well spent.
It does seem this question gets asked about every week or so. You get as many opinions as there are people on the forum. There is a search function that will return the many varied opinions on these "help me decide" questions. This is a great site with a ton of info, but sometimes we plow the...
I think you will find it in the Karh-TECH section of Karh Talk. Basically you want to first check that the mag springs are oriented correctly. Apparently it not uncommon for them to be installed backwards. Then unload the gun. disassemble the mags. Insert the disassembled mag into the gun. Using...
Is this with the 6 round mag? My 7 round mag used to nose dive, second or third round. Cartridge would be pointed down and sort of wedged under the feed ramp. Never happens with the standard 6 round mag. Sanded and polished the right side of the follower on that 7 mag and the problem went away...
I have the CM9 as well, love it. BUT there is a definite break in period that I had to go through. Others have told me theirs worked fine right out of the box. Mine took about 250 rounds to settle into a dependable carry weapon. I almost gave up on it, very glad I didn't. It is my EDC now.
I had a friend who worked as a "real" CSI tech. He told me that when they watch the CSI TV programs they just fall on the floor laughing. Real DNA testing takes months, no computer can find the exact finger print. Weapons are seldom traceable to anyone. ETC. If they can ID guns from the casing...
I know this isn't much help but on my CM9 I believe the spring is held in place by the torex screw that is under the take down lever. Great care is needed to not strip out the threads.
Welcome and congrats on your purchase. I have the xd40 sc. It takes some practice to be at all accurate. It has a very short site radius. The little extensions for the mag (Pearce grips) help a lot.
Sounds like your mind is made up but a Kahr CM9 fits the price and reliability requirements. I pocket carry it in summer and IWB in winter. There is a break in period but after that mine has been 100%.
Sometimes you get what you pay for...The people at Bradis have always been kind and honest with me. They are knowledgeable and patient. Often it it is the best deal around but I don't mind if sometimes it's a few bucks more than someone else.
