Looks like a standard DI gun to me. The forearm is a DD Lite Rail system. Some more pics of it here:

The new carry piece I picked up has them and while I haven't shot it with them, I did shoot a kahr a few times with them.
To me, they're not natural. I did practice draws with the new pistol with XS sights on it after I got home and I kept looking for a notch to put that front sight in...
Good luck to everyone shootin' this weekend. Maybe next year I'll have the vacation time to come up and shoot it, I miss getting a chance to shoot with the Riley crew.
Hopefully notasccrmom doesn't live up to his avatar. :D
When I shot it (I think in '07), there was a vendor there with some Glock and Surefire items but that was it. The two I went to had more of the feel of a local match vs. a more national/regional match with lots of vendors and what not.
Heh, there was only 1 at the show and it was tied to the rack in the Magpul booth and didn't come off it. Seems to be a sore subject with some people.
I noticed several people stopping by our booth with arfcom badges. Only noticed it because most of them also had Arfcom shirts and bolt face...
Going to work like any other day, getting a hair cut, then coming home. May hit the indoor range to give the 1911 a workout and order a few hundred rounds of ammo, some mags, and maybe a new holster.
Guess I'm not getting too uptight about it since I know there's nothing that can really be...
I agree. If I had to guess, I would say this policy was put in place by the insurance company/lawyers and I imagine there aren't many insurance companies in the world that would cover the show if they were letting people bring loaded/functioning weapons into a show that size? I'm not a fan of...

I hit glocktalk only on occasion to check the for sale forums. Haven't participated much since this forum started up.
The club went through a lot of it while I was there (was the cheapest so we got the most bang for our buck, no pun intended). Never really had any problems unless the FNG loaded them in the guns backwards or started loading the wrong gauge shells in the guns.
Whenever I actually got a chance...
There was a story here in town about a Domino's driver got attacked on a delivery last week. One story I heard said the guys came at him with a brick.

I concur with that. I decided early on that the majority of my handguns would be 9 and 45 with a couple .22's and .38/357 revolvers, rifles in 5.56, 7.62NATO, 7.62x39, and .22LR+. Only exception is the Barrett 98-Bravo that found its way onto the wish list.
You forgot one other important...
Unless it's Duty Gear, they're generally illegal for competitions run under USPSA rules because the grip falls too low. For Competition, I just use a BladeTech injection molded holster on a DOH attachement and it's boarderline within the rules.
I was about to start this thread.
I hope to be there at some point, probably working the booth (would make sense to take a couple engineers :D ). Looking to cruise a bit of the show Saturday, hope to check out a few booths outside of our own (I'd really like to check out Glock, FNH/FN-USA and...
