One advantage of motorcycling as well as bicycling is they keep your 'trust no one, anyone at all might wind up killing me' senses sharp

But as a LEO, you probably get plenty of practice in that respect without the added two-wheel risk

Yeah, it's exhausting and not something I care to do recreationally any longer. At least if I get eaten by a bear it'll be a better story for my ancestors.

Have I ever mentioned my irrational fear of cows? That video does nothing to quell my irrationality.
I was motorcycling through Wyoming and there was a herd of cattle that broke through the fence and blocked the road. I have been in fear for my life a few times...that wad one of them...cowboys on horses trying to keep them away from me as they streamed pass.

    Cows are no laughing matter.

Bicyclists flying through the air are always worth a chuckle....maybe the landing is sobering....but the flight is definitely worth a guffaw

Good thing you weren't in Montana! Those cowboys might not have been so nice. ;)

Recumbent trike group rode today from Greentown to Tipton and back. Thirty-seven miles total. We were going to ride to Elwood, but the winds were gusting to 29 mph.

We stayed on back county roads and avoided traffic. The sky was spectacular today.
    Thats a nice ride...

This thread reads just like an anti-gunner thread. The anti-gunners guffaw at our safety and comfort attire and equipment. They laugh at various positions for shooting, silly competitions, and collections. They complain constantly about noise or their irrational fears when we are shooting.

They have no understanding of the seriousness of safety procedures we follow and scoff and ridicule them. The accuse ALL gun owners for the ridiculous of bad gun owners as if what gangs do is reflective of what the majority of us do. They call us names because they lack the intellect to understand what we do.

This thread reads just like that. A few with significant cycling experience have offered insight and experience, much the same way you might try to share with those that know nothing about guns but it is met with elementary school understanding. And if you rode a bike as a kid or even tool around town on one today that is like owning a gun you put in a closet but can’t remember which one you put it in.

So carry on, continue proving your level of intellect…
