Which keeps telling me they don't have any type of DNA from the crime scene. If they did they would of matched it up to him and bingo. One could also think maybe he may be involved in another way but doesn't want to snitch......but he is looking at a bunch of years so think he would want to lower his sentence. Any thing thrown off that bridge after all these years could be way down river.

I'm not sure how that would work. Why would anyone be spooked, unless they knew there was something there to be found? But in that case the police had to have known that searching in that location would spook them - in other words, they think there's something there. But then it's a real search.

As for a training excercise, I suppose it's possible but there's been dozens of them out there for over a week, and they won't talk about it. I think they're really looking for something.

Fingers crossed. Its hard to expect anything will be found that will solve the case after this amount of time, but the fact theyre still actively investigating brings me hope.

The search just ended this week, just after Doug Carter visited Peru in a helicopter. The Murder Sheet podcast said the visit probably had nothing to do with the search. But they also said, their source told them that the person behind the anthony_shots account is cooperating and basically told police who the killer is, and that he was there waiting in the car.

Breaking news. All the local news stations are reporting that a major development has happened and there'll be a press conference on Monday. FB groups are reporting that someone is in custody.
