I found out years ago that being dishonest to the spouse brought down the wrath of the heavens on me.
Well, maybe not that bad but I learned to just tell her what was going on. As long as I take care of her she is OK with most of what I do. Mostly.

Oh I let her know what I am doing...I just don't always say how much it's going to cost. I first make sure all the bills are covered and go from there

I guess the tech of tuning a small boosted motor is more fun to me than a big cube motor. Maybe a big cube motor with BOOST would solve my problem. :):

I'm making >700 HP from 2L / 122 cubic inches. I can't imagine what driving a 2,100 HP 6.0L boosted motor with would feel like. I'd probably pee myself. :):

If you are building an all out racecar then the best bet is big cubic inches with the power adder of your choice. Let me tell you those good vibrations take hold and she kicks you in the kidney as she comes up on the wheelie bars, your heart rate climbs and stuff not in direct view starts getting blurry. If she is on a good run just keep the pedal planted, hit the shift, get the chute out, step on the brakes...and breathe. Then you feel the adrenaline dump and you smile & giggle like a school girl. Lol

I have a 900 ci 6 cylinder that will push 40 lbs of boost. But it's only 550 hp. 2,050 ft/lbs of torque though.

I just made a pass in my mind. Yes, a good run will make you get all giggely.

yep. The SM460 and 465 both had the optional PTO to them. Like I said.... dump truck tranmission! 196lbs for the old one, 98 for hte new. Truck just lost 100lbs.

Reason I ask is that looks like the trans we put in my 64 chevy custom 100 4WD. It had the PTO on it. It came out of a military truck of some sort. Granny low gear was a crawler. PTO ran the winch. And man it would run it. It came from the same truck as the trans did. The transfer case was mounted about a foot behind the trans with a short drive shaft. Then front and rear shafts to the drive's. We built all of that up on the fly but it was near bullet proof. Looked like an old B model Mack with all the levers between the seats. 44" monster Mudders all the way around with 4.30's......damn truck would scat and climb about anything.
