I called both Coat's and Brook's offices to ask why anyone should ever vote for their party again. It's pathetic they have the majority and can't seem get a single piece of their legislation through Congress. Last election, we had a glimmer of hope. The republicans sold us on the premise that they were going to oppose Obama, but they have betrayed us all. This just may have destroyed the republican party as we know it. Since this has been a large concern of conservatives, which will rightfully feel betrayed, many republicans may now vote for a third party which will create a further divide. Instead of them having the balls to take a stand, they elected to cower in the shadow of our imperial leader, demonstrating that they lack the fortitude to properly represent their constituents. This is a hard blow to conservatives.
The next step will be for the imperial leader to increase taxes to help pay for the illegals when they file for previous tax returns even though they haven't paid any taxes. Of course, now they will be able to apply for social security numbers, licenses, and register for voting. Many states have already said that they lacked the means to prevent voter fraud of this type.

It was doomed to fail from the start. There's no way that Obama would sign a bill that effectively cancels his executive order. And there's no way that he would end up taking the blame for shutting down DHS. It was a foolish of Republicans to set that up in the first place. The only hope to stop a President overreaching his authority is either through the courts or impeachment. And there's no way Republicans would win the latter battle either.

I think republicans lack balls, but there is no way they would come out looking good. The facts is dems or obama would be shutting dhs down, but people are too afraid to hold obama to task.
The whole "round 'em up and send them away" argument would cost us way too much and damage our economy. Damage to the economy would likely exceed $1.6 trillion and the GDP would take a very big hit, too. Guess some people wouldn't care about that, though.

But what we would save would more than make up for it. We wont get all of them. Mass deportations are not the answer. Deport them as they find them. Make it impossible for them to work and many will self deport. Problem solved. Much of the cost is all the special treatment they get and time they get to argue about why they should be able to stay , often through an interpreter.

It has been proven in past immigration operations that the cost of deportation would not cost us as much as the so called researchers predict if it is handled properly. I believe it was Eisenhower that began a deportation campaign that was so severe that illegal immigrants deported themselves before they could be caught by the authorities. So, it is possible. The liberals would be screaming bloody murder, but it is possible and it would solve the border crossing problem as well. But then again, it would take politicians that had fortitude and commitment to restore our republic. I'm not sure that any exist anymore. Even Reagan didn't have the means to create a campaign of this magnitude.
