My hand stopped tingling pretty quickly after shooting it, but the desire to shoot one again is getting stronger every day. I wonder if they'd let me shoot one at PointBlank?

They sure will! Right after you purchase one... :):

... or rent one I guess, if they have one, but that wasn't as funny ;)

It would be interesting to see what someone would do if they bought a S&W 500 Magnum at one counter and then took it over to the range counter only to be told that they can't shoot that one there. If they sell them, I'm guessing they let you shoot them there.

Just looked at the range rules and 500 S&W is not an approved cartridge. .50 AE is, but not 500 Magnum.

Well....with some of the idiocy they have suffered at the hands of a small % of the membership I can see this but in that I have shot 2 500 magnums in the bays over there. They were pistols so who knew.

For some unknown reason, getting a revolver has started to spark my interest. Any recommendations out there? .357 magnum might be kind of fun.

I will not be getting a 500 magnum...

If you want an older one, I'd go with a Smith Model 19. Newer one, either a Smith 686 or Ruger GP100.

I've had a S&W 586 that I liked a lot and currently have an older S&W 66 Combat Magnum. I've really some to like that one and don't think I'll be letting it go any time soon. I wish I had not traded my 586 away years ago, but it was for my first CZ, so there's at least that to console me.
