My condolences…Might I suggest your Dads friends? I know one of my most prized firearms came from the collection of a good friend. And a good friend of your Dads would be less liable to lowball on the price. Best of luck to you on this

You could always contact me or my father In law. We run a very well known auction house up here in northern Indiana. We have an FFL and do all the transfers here in house. We are both licensed appraisers as well. We have 5-6 gun auctions a year and have great success. Current market value at auction would more than likely yield you the best all around values. You get a check at the end and all are sold that day.
    Thanks
    Jesse

I was left a substantial collection of long guns. Does anyone know of an honest reliable dealer to sell them for me?
Jamichele, like all goods available on the open market there are what are considered to be "Blue Books" that give you a sort of Consumer Price Index of things. For your situation I would suggest taking the time to review the https://bluebookofgunvalues.com/

I have also performed valuations for people from time-to-time and would consider walking your through the Blue Book to point out considerations that you want to understand in projecting a good price for what you are wanting to sell.

Feel free to contact me at your leisure. Gregory

Thank you. I’m not in Muncie,I am in Columbus. My dad was an avid hunter who never could pass up a gun lol. He told me to find someone to help me but I only collect handguns. I’m not a hunter so I know nothing about long guns like he did. He did leave me a list with all the names and serial numbers. (Thanks dad)
Jamichele, if you can, send me the list of the NAMES / MODELS ONLY, keep the serial numbers PRIVATE.

Posting those serial numbers to a public forum could allow unscrupulous persons to use those details in filing a false theft report and end up getting you into hot water that you do not want to be in.

On line will be the quickest and likely reap the most money. I have used Bryant Ridge Sportsman in KY. This is all they do. I have used them about five different times with multiple guns and got more than I hoped for.

    Wait! What!
As far as I can see neither party has PM privilege, am I missing something?

Mods. Does Mr. @GregoryRomeu have some super power I’m unaware of?

I can remember the time I’ve posted about Z. R. Fjestads Blue Book, and was handed my hat telling me I didn’t know squat.

    Flame on!!!!

You have a point. The young lady is currently being taken care of (presumably) by USDS. Posters offering their services after she mentioned that she is in contact with Chad clearly didnt read the whole thread.

To quote one of our local scholars. "We are done here."

ETA: @Jamichele if that relationship with USDS falls through, feel free to start a new thread.
