Goooood evening. I haven't been able to be on much lately between work, a remodel and a parent in the hospital...sitting in a hotel in lovely South Bend getting ready for meetings tomorrow .

I never find South Bend to be terribly appealing, I'm guessing it would be even less so right now with snow and having to hang out in a hotel.

So I haven't looked at them in a couple of years and I never looked in much detail, but I thought the guys over at Windham Weaponry built a quality AR. Seeing this makes me doubt that. An AR that costs $399 can't be all that much quality. Might be good bang for your buck, but probably not great quality. Just interested me since I thought they put out alright stuff.

I have had 2 of their rifles and both were good enough pieces. A friend still has one of them and it is a tack driver.
This may be an inventory dump from anticipation of the Hildabeast.

How easy I get spoiled. Taking my "Czech Made" B to the range later. I put a new recoil spring in her to try and resolve the last of the function issues. This is the last gun that has neither a 10x bushing or upgraded sights. I am not looking forward to running Mepros. The TFX sights are just so much easier to pick up for me.

Have my Anshutz completely dismantled. Barrel is at Allen's for a re-color.

I would really like to pick up a surplus gun or two to throw in the bottom of the safe for a rainy day. They won't be around forever.

Seems like there were a serious amount of them. They are still popping up but prices are on the rise.

Yep, lots of bandwagon jumpers now. They are getting into the high $400s and beyond. Makes doing a full up customization a pretty pricey endeavor.

Doing any full up is pricey anymore. The bar is on the top notch. We need taller poles....

I am still toying with an SAO trigger in the CopperHead.

I have mixed emotions about SAO on these. While I do like it I tend to judge these guns more on how the DA comes around. The SA, with a few exceptions, is always pretty good.

The SAO and the 1911 style barrel bushing just puts that big hunk of man steel in another realm.
