Morning gang!
Up early as wife has cataract surgery this morning.
Guess that I'd better hit the sack. My eye appointment is tomorrow, and I don't want to be grumpy (from lack of sleep), as my wife is taking-off work to drive me.
I've found that depth perception is hard with one eye on the fritz. If I reach for something small on the side table (like a Werther's mint), my thumb and forefinger will often miss the mark by 1/3".
Like my friend, 88' said, the brain will help fill-in the missing parts of vision. However, I don't think that all the neuron pathways are open, and firiing.
It seems as if depth perception and field of view are definitely affected.
Ah well, while seeking darkened rooms lately, I've had time to play a fair amount of guitar. I've been chasing this rather dark chord progression.
If I go blind, they'll probably call me one of those cool nicknames they call Jazz playing guitarists, like Blind Lemon Baby , or similar
Have had some rain here. about .50" since Saturday. Ground still hard to foot.Lightning tearing into the forest around us last night, I'll be going out to check for damage today.
