Is this ok with you guys? Should GOP donors (and you know it's MEGA donors) jump to the front of the line for this event? Should the 4th be turned into a partisan event? I personally think that of ALL the days we should rise above political bickering and exclusion, it should be the 4th. The 4th should be for all Americans, not this or that political party, not just wealthy, middle, or the poor; just Americans.

    This seems kinda swampish.
It better not turn into a campaign speech.

So Trump is saying that someone went over his head and made it up? Or, more likely, he didn't like that the media was call this a "defeat," so he changed his mind.

If it’s for a political speech I don’t really care. If it’s for the national celebration, I’d rather it’s free to everyone, and doesn’t pander to rich donors. But swamp? I dunno about that. And it’s certainly not something that worthy of dialing #resistance up to 11, like the bat**** crazies are doing.

Typical for disingenuous dumocraps to get all butthurt. They just want to sit there with their ass-faces on and try to ruin the celebration just like they are trying to ruin the country.

An official from the RNC, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the group's inner workings, said in an email that the Democratic National Committee had also received passes to White House events when a Democrat was in the Oval Office.

"It's standard practice for the RNC to receive a small number of tickets to events just as the DNC did under Democrat Presidents," the official said. "This is routine for events like the White House Christmas Open Houses, Garden Tours in spring and fall, etc."

Personally I wouldn't want ANY dumocraps there since they have proven they can't behave themselves.

If any President deserves a grand American holiday it is Trump.

He’s wrong to call for impeachment. You don’t get to unilaterally depose a duly elected POTUS just because you disagree with his policies. And that’s what’s really behind it. No sane person thinks that there are justifiable grounds, nothing raised to a legitimate assessment of high crimes and misdemeanors, to impeach Trump.

But. He’s not wrong about the Republican party. The office holding R’s don’t act like they give a flying **** about a smaller, less intrusive, leaner, less spendy government. They’ve become the equivalent of spendy dems, albeit with a different ideological focus. They seem just fine with the Trumpian authoritarian ********ery, but only because it’s their Tribe’s authoritarian ********ery.

Amash is leaving Republican party. It really doesn't feel like that long ago issues of fiscal responsibility were in the forefront of Conservatives minds. Now it's taken a back seat to arbitrary partisan wedge issues.

This is transparent CYA. Trump was already going to campaign for his primary opponent

He's come out as a libertarian, now says both parties are only about partisan victory - so, what? He's going to run as a libertarian independent?
He's going to join the freedom loving small gov't Democratic party?

This makes as much sense as that guy that set himself on fire. It creates a brief, small needle movement on the news cycle and results in a smoking corpse to no lasting effect

Good riddance. When does he come out as a gay palestinian?

Because of his vision problems. He's been in congress since 2011, overlapping Fast and Furious and Benghazi but apparently can only see wrong doing by Trump where even Mueller couldn't make that call

Likely an aspirant to the John McCain self promotion award. Freedom Caucus didn't have much use for his grandstanding, but of course I'm guessing you won't trust the judgement of 31 other representatives who knew him far better than you do in the matter because; the narrative

Good news for America. Government Dependency Plunges Under Trump

With the strong employment picture, food stamp enrollment is down 308,000 in April, 1.2 million for the year, and 6.7 million since he became president. Social Security disability is down by 3 million since he became president. Also Medicaid and Welfare roles are down.

This contrasts with greatly expanded government dependency under the previous administration (+13 million on food stamps, +1.2 million on disability, etc).
