    I think it may get to 80$ a barrel but will blow over.

    Saudis are already talking about pumping more.
    I am seeing massive shorts in oil, with some expecting prices to crash to mid 50s and a few even predict 30s by early next summer. We will see,but generally when hundreds of billions are betting the price goes way down it will.

    In years past when ever a hurricane would threaten the gulf or a strike, seems like gas prices would always spike. I’m surprised that hasn’t happened this year. Maybe the supply chain has changed? Maybe playing politics?

    If they hit LA and TX...further west ...that's where the refineries are

    Yeah, but I think it was Beryl that hit east Texas earlier in the season and I don’t remember prices spiking then. In years past any disruption to production, whether it was refining or pumping was enough. (It seemed like).

    Yeah, but I think it was Beryl that hit east Texas earlier in the season and I don’t remember prices spiking then. In years past any disruption to production, whether it was refining or pumping was enough. (It seemed like).
    There was a 2 day or so spike but the refineries opened up and I think ony one refinery was impacted for a longer term than just buttoning up before the storm
