Good luck getting the liberal media to de-sensitize the general population to legal citizens legally carrying their firearms.

Why is there no Fox equivalent of Micheal Moore making main-stream movies about it?
They have deep enough pockets to get it done. The liberal media scapegoat rings false with the amount of money being thrown at the GOP primaries and candidates.

Or how about just a simple product placement instead of a full blown production, a non-LEO or criminal or ex-special forces bad-ass, just a 'normal' person doing their normal routine jobs while they just happen to be OCing?

No offense to TF(and I don't think he was wrong in what he did) but headlines of 'MWAG escorted from local zoo' and 'MWAG escorted from zoo now sues City' does not raise positive public awareness in the culture of anything longer than a tweet is too long to trouble with reading.

Perhaps not, but there IS "hard data" that proves that Licensed Gun Owners are OVERWHELMINGLY law abiding. For example:

    • Less than 1% of ALL gun related homicides since 2007 were at the hands of Licensed Gun Owners.
    • For the year 2007, about 1/4 of 1% of ALL criminals convicted in the State of Texas were also CHL holders.
In other words, there is verifiable proof that the fear of an OCer is statistically irrational, and unfounded.

Just as the fear of someone in Muslim garb (which happens on a daily basis) is statistically irrational, and unfounded. Regardless of your ability to understand the analogy.

    AND

of ALL the violent crimes committed nationwide ONLY 7% were committed using a firearm

OF those 7% I think it was "85%" of those firearms were obtained from FTF transactions or "OTHER ILLEGAL MEANS"...per DOJ study 2009

OMG. THEY DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEATHS BY LICENSED GUN OWNERS AND BY CRIMINALS. THEY ONLY KNOW THAT A GUN KILLED SOMEONE.

Not everyone, but your average 2A fence sitter.

Unless, you come up with some serious Mark Twain philosophical gold in your next post - I'm going to have to ignore you.

*finger resting confidently on the button*

Again, how would HIDING something educate people on the truth, hmm?

So YOU hurl insults, but you are going to "Ignore" ME because you can't handle the debate? :lol2::lmfao:

When our rights are violated we cannot control what other people choose to write about.

If I had written the article it would have read ¨Man licensed to carry a handgun was removed from the zoo.¨

There is no debate. There is only the illusion that you're making a point by rephrasing the same question and receiving the same answer.

*looks around for Mark Twain philosophical gold*

My time for you has run short.

Soldiers outside the walls: cant come in, go away, gave at the office.

Pretty horse statue outside the walls: ooooh, bring it in.

Hiding something changed the public perception. No?

    Stretching the analogy a bit..

I was thinking more along the lines of educating people on Rights etc.

i.e. Rosa Parks didnt hide in the back of the bus..

No, actually I have posted verifiable facts and data, you have posted nothing but your opinion over and over again ad nauseum..

    Projection? I think so..

I have a challenge for most of you. For years we have heard people like Richard Lugar called 'RINOs'. We need to come up with a catchy name for lukewarm (at best) gun owners who refuse to stand up for their rights, believe that getting run over is right and proper, and at the end of the day would accept any insult, infringement, or de facto cancellation of their rights in the name of following some twisted idea of proper social order and 'politeness'.

Steelman is simply concealing his knowledge. This way, he will have the element of surprise when he actually says something intelligent. We all think he's an easy target because he has no valid points, but just you wait...

Come on Steelman, say something smart! Use a fact, or maybe a statistic!

We flaunt our knowledge openly. Maybe that intimidates you, but I'd rather have people know that I'm intelligent.
