8 and its very confusing, I'm probably going to get 7 on it

There are new free apps that 'mask/convert' the stupid win8 look back to a normal winxp-7 look which you might want to try first. Downgrading to 7 will cost you right?
Guess you could always slap linux on it. =) oh wait u want to play games on it. Stick with win8 then me says and enjoy the sux. I'll be joining you on win8 soo enough. --cry--

It is my first Ford, but I have read good things about it. Plus they went without a bailout, which is a bonus.

I would have bought another Infiniti, but the redesign isn't due until next year. I did not want to wait another year.

    Ford = good = 1971 mustang!

Ahhh for the good old days :rockwoot: But thanks to the EPA those days are gone.

We now have to eek out power from tiny engines that sound like crap and need to be wound up to ultra high RPMs to produce anything more than negligable horsepower and still provide very little torque. That is one reason why I like diesels. Tons of torque at the low end, with the right gearing it does some amazing things and still gives the EPA mandated high mileage and low emissions.

    =(

Sorry but ya can keep the battery cars! They won't give your female passenger a nice ride as the rev of a V8+ engine will. :D

i'm using spesoft start menu to get a start button.
running the toshiba recovery disc to make the disc in case the laptop every needs to get nuked.

still have a laundry list of stuff to install and remove.
Actualy it does not have a lot of crapware stuff.
Office trial and Norton security is about all I think I will get rid of.
Has some nice desktop games but doubt they will ever use them.

Will install Office 2000, probably FireFox and Opera and that may be it on the software side for the time being. I'm sure the printer won't work (yet) and their might be a few older software installs that I might have to do.

This laptop is for web/email and office files (word/excel) and youtube.

Need to figure out if I can get Win8 to start at the desktop instead of that tile screen.

A brave new world for you ey...

    too d*** much!!!
I watched some youtube video to get prepared for today but NOTHING can really prepare you. It's a 100% change to the way things are done. But I think little kids and/or someone how has never used Windows might find it easier. So hard it seems like everything is hiidedn
