How much would one cost new from the LGS? I would assume free would be a "great" deal for someone looking for a Gen 3, but what price would you consider to be a great deal for you, but also fair for the person selling?

I am pretty sure I saw a Gen 3 G26 at ZX guns in Goshen Brand New for $485

It's fair. I went and saw it had a holster too. For a used basic glock: 450
and I've seen them here for cheaper than that. Whatever price 2 people agree on is fair price. I don't pay attention to local gun store price because I don't pay those prices. I'll buy off gunbroker if I need it to be new. But I've almost always found good used prices here. Ingo classifieds kick butt. But sometimes you have to be patient

I have to respectively disagree with you in regards to the OP's remark about the white guy from Greenwood. It was not necessary in his post especially if we wouldn't understand unless we were there. It also was not necessary to prove that he was a reputable person to deal with. There is always a little truth in every joke. Although the Op was not joking with the potential buyer he still said he was a "Trust worthy white guy from Greenwood"

I believe that the Op's intentions were honorable and not intended to come across as racist but to others it may not seen that way.

My approach is to seek my saviors direction in everything I do. I have a theory called "Swimming up Stream" If a deal starts to go south and requires me to start jumping through hoops or goes past a certain timeframe I back off and let the seller know my interest have ended. "Swimming Upstream means I'm not supposed to have the item for several reasons. One being that a another person besides me is supposed to have it.

If the buyer started getting flakey about trust issues then I would have passed on the deal. No Swimming Upstream.

I should never have made that comment in this post, as I can't defend it here only to say; In that situation with that buyer where we were meeting and time, and the way that buyer was talking about things around us it was what I felt he wanted to hear. I can't really say more then that as it gets even weirder. But if you buy or sell enough guns you will run across some who have issues selling or buying guns from some types of different people. This buyer MIGHT have been like that. Im not saying it was right, he was right, or anything. But I think those that sell or buy enough can understand what I mean. Some sellers/buyers might have issues buying/selling to some different people then themselves. I don't agree with that, I'm not like that. I do have my fun, Im not a PC person. But well, yea............Im sorry I derailed my own topic.

Could have been new, I was not there. But I would guess it was used, and was LNIB. That price would be a very good price for a LGS. Others on here who run shops and know what wholesale price is could tell you better then I. At my LGS it would be $560

*op posted while I was typing* Non issue in my book.

If I thought the op truly meant harm by it I would have been less political in my previous posts. I don't know the op and I feel that giving him the benefit of the doubt is not only the correct thing to do but also in the best interest of the forum. It was not my intent to psychoanalyze hidden meaning behind the statement. Therefore I felt that while in some situations my question was just it served no purpose here. As you stated the comment was not meant to be harmful. I think we can leave it at that without trying to analyze hidden or deep-rooted meanings of statements made by member who I can sumise is not one to incite issues on this forum.

Their number is listed in the website. Give them a call tomorrow and ask for Gabriel. They have great prices and are hard to beat.

Ill say this much there website is far better then most LGS. It's not the greatest site but far better then some, and for a small business it is very good. It does not look like a 1996 Angelfire site. They have a Gen4 listed for $560 and overall decent prices for a LGS, and far better then most big box retailers.

I meant no disrespect to you or the OP. I was just trying to give the OP advise to help him in the future so that he didn't as Rickey Ricardo would say “Lucy! You got some ‘splainin’ to do!”

I think the OP agrees as he stated in post 83

The online prices are a little higher than in the store. They are hard to get them to answer the phone sometimes so just keep calling.

So, that's about $525 with tax. So, what's a fair price after it's used?
    $450

its just like a used car. Once it's off the lot it depreciates and it IS used even if you don't shoot it. Besides with a glock, I don't care if its had 3k rounds or 0 rounds. 450 is tops unless it's got night sights and some extra mags or holsters.

Ok looking around there site they go to a lot of shows, which is fine a lot of shops do. But it says on 4/6 of this year they were at the Bluechip Casino for a show. There was a gunshow at a casino??? I thought it was against the law to have a pistol in a casino, even in the common areas? Was there a gunshow at an Indiana casino? Anybody up north help me out here.... Just wondering if my understanding of the law was off, or if there was a work around.

i think it's just a no no at riverboat casinos. Another unconstitutional law.

Yes the law does say "riverboat casinos" the law does not mention the "racinos" in Anderson and Shelbyville, but Indiana law may consider those "riverboats". But isn't the Bluechip a riverboat? Or are you saying you can have it in the halls but not on the actual boat? I thought you could not have it on casino property period. Help me out.

I bought my first Glock at a gun show in Elkhart. I gave $450 for a Nice (only carried by a little old lady to church on Sunday's)
G27. It came with plastic case, 2 mags, cheap shoulder holster, and Leather Galco ankle holder.

While I was at ZX Guns last week getting Pearce Pinky Extensions for the wife's TCP I saw a new G27 for $485 and I remember saying wow thats only $35 plus tax more than I paid for mine used. I then remembered that I got about $90 worth of holsters.

The G26 should be the same price as the G26

G26's will most of the time in most situations with most buyers (NOT ALL). Sell quicker and for more then a G27, I agree it should not be this way, or at least does not make sense, it is what it is. The last G26 I bought was a GEN 4 off INGO and I use it as my EDC, I paid $480 for it. It was new, looked never fired. It was over oiled like every Glock I buy. I was very happy to buy it for that price. The ad had been up for less then half an hour, I drove to Noblesville to get it right away. I told the guy I bought it off of; that was the quickest sell ever for him. He said he had 3 others while I was driving PM him for the gun. For whatever reason you can sell a G26 GEN3 or 4 MUCH faster then a G27. The G27 I sold on INGO took over a week to sell. If it was a G26 it would have been gone day one. I think the 9MM is a preferred cartridge over the .40 with a lot of buyers.

I understand. I will admit that when I go to Indiana Grand or to a riverboat, I leave my gun in the car. It does not feel right. But I don't want to catch any crap if something happens, or if I bend over, or Im sitting at a machine and someone sees. It could be some serious crap that I don't need. But the law is total garbage, what good is it doing?
