Don't forget there's also same brand-snobbyness. Dad prefer's his silverado over my Sierra for looks. I think he's insane. Or blind.

That sure depended on which model year you're talking about for me. Mine is an '03 Sierra and I thought they were much better looking than the '03 Chevy's.

    I don't need a 3/4 ton, but I do like my dads 2006 F250 a lot...

    For me, it's between a Silverado or a F150.
Down to those two. STEEL body and an LS engine, get it rust proofed by somebody who knows what they are doing and cares. I wouldn't touch a ford with the problems they are having with their new engines... And aluminum body, no thanks.

I've owned all of the Big 3 brand of trucks. I'm not brand loyal in the slightest. The money for vehicle purchases is way too much to be based on emblems.

I have thought of just keeping my jeep, and drive it until it dies. You really can't beat that I6 4.0...
And buy an older 2000-2002 Silverado 2500 single cab long bed truck, with that 350 engine. Just pay cash for one. I always liked those body styles.

Dunno why I would want a 3rd vehicle though.

I really liked those 4.0 engines in the jeeps. They did have their issues, but if maintained are pretty indestructible. And it's a shame the gubment got involved and they had to stop production.

The 2000-2002 2500 Chevys are gonna have the 6.0 LS engine, way better than the old 350. They stopped putting those in trucks around 1998. Although there was some leftover truck bodies left and they continued to use those on some of the 2500-3500 trucks into 2000, those would still have the old 5.7/350.

3rd vehicle? Pshaw. Two adults (well, technically) here and 4 vehicles. I'd have 5, but LaDirectora hasn't approved any of my wild schemes (yet).
