    Or forced castration.

I used to work with a guy who was older than me and who had worked in a VA hospital in Wisconsin back in the 60's. He said it was common practice to castrate the patients when they hit a certain age, with no consent from the patient or the family. It was justified as a preventative measure against prostate cancer, but had the "side benefit" of making patients both weaker and calmer (his words).

In the modern medical age where science has cured cancer, aids, alzheimer's, and any other medical calamity over the last 6000+ years, there's no reason to doubt medical science's infallibility.

The government needs to be free to create all the policies it desires inside public institutions. Don't like it, move! :n00b:

IKR...Similarly, I'm glad the government is finally getting a hold of the evil Comcasts of the world to make the internet safe for the NetFlix subscribers.

I remember trying to cash a 20 pound Barclays travelers check at a bank in Kabul. The teller refused to take it because many years ago, someone passed them a bad one. Any other denomination was OK.
I get the distinct impression here that no matter what the facts are, some of you choose to ignore them in favor of the occasional f*ck up. Some of us are devolving........

its just the latest scare for the media to hype up and take everyone's mind off of the real problems and how our gov't is wrecking the country. This outbreak was predicted months ago by doctors because of the flood of illegal kids coming here with all kinds of diseases. Of course the media molds this into an attack against republicans using the vaccination platform. Its nothing more than politics. Everything today is political.

Mexico and Nicaragua 99% vaccination rate.
Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala 93% vaccination rate.

...Disneyland-linked virus shows similarities to strains of the measles found in Dubai, Qatar, Azerbaijan, and Indonesia.

No, illegal immigrants probably aren't responsible for the measles outbreak

Now, what is this about hysteria?

Something I didn't know was that the number of deaths due to measles had been drastically falling in the US for the 50 years before the vaccine was introduced. Many doctors felt that immunity being transferred from mothers to babies was responsible for that. One thing that research has not proven is whether the mortality rate from measles would be lower in a population with multiple generations of vaccinated individuals than it would be in a population of individuals who had gotten measles and passed on the acquired immunity to their children. Something that HAS occurred are outbreaks of measles in populations with vaccination rates over 90%, which was not thought to be likely when vaccinations were first introduced.

Another thing is that many children who were vaccinated that contract measles sometimes get a much more dangerous form of the disease, AMS - Atypical Measles Syndrome. Since improperly made or stored vaccines give incomplete protection. Most parents don't know that their child got an ineffective vaccine until their child contracts the disease.

The hysteria continues. Now we start bullying doctors who disagree with us: Revoke the license of any doctor who opposes vaccination - The Washington Post

This exhibition of slobbering statism comes from the "director of the Division of Medical Ethics." And he will undoubtedly retain his position and keep preaching his dark ethos to the new indoctrinees. Its unlikely his peers will even submit any public disagreement with him.

We're seeing the foundations of a "science-based" fascism, not unlike the medical establishment's infatuation with eugenics in the 20th century.

Something I didn't know was that the number of deaths due to measles had been drastically falling in the US for the 50 years before the vaccine was introduced.

Just look at how many advancements happened during the same era. Transmission was hindered with anti-bacterial soaps, indoor plumbing, improvements in sanitation and hygiene, and knowledge of the disease. Infrastructure improved, meaning people had easier access to hospitals, and could eat more nutritious foods from all over the world. At the same time, the medical profession saw revolutionary changes, like how to stabilize a patient, give them IV fluids, how to restart someone's heart, development of antibiotics, and more. Not to mention finally abandoning certain practices like feeding sickly people mercury tablets.

That's why measles deaths were few and far between way before the vaccine -- which claims credit for all 20th century innovation combined.

Yes, I can see how important the continuation of junk science is to your position, but actual medical doctors (the kind that don't dress in all black with tats and nose rings) will be concerned with the anti-vax nonsense.

However, it seems we have a solution to all the anti-vax hysteria, tell the hipsters that measles contains gluten! Nothing short of brilliant:

Could we stop the anti-vaxxers if we said measles contains gluten? - The Globe and Mail
