LOL @ those limp-wristed ***gots crying after he went through the door, "they are hurting him, they are hurting him.:(:(:(."

That douche nozzle was resisting arrest by bending his knees and crossing his feet; all the police officers were trying to do was escort him out and he felt the need to struggle like a 4 year old that doesn't want to leave Chuck E Cheese. OK, that's doing a to 4 year olds; my kid has never acted like that(but my kid isn't a douchebag either).

As you can see, I haven't advocated anyone getting hurt in this thread, but I hope that homo pulled his shoulder out of socket while resisting like that.

I hope his contempt of court and resisting arrest charges were worth it...How much will they cost? Will there be jail time involved? Either way, divide that by 15K and that's how much per youtube view he is paying.

I don't even understand how anyone can say it somehow offends them that a HAT is worn in a building, it's a freaken hat. Do they bring bad luck? How about germs or cooties?

.40, think of it like this: the wearing of the hat indoors is an insult, just like extending the middle finger.

It's a freaken finger you cry. Yes, it is a hat or a finger, but they are both insults.

Some people I know do not understand how the middle finger is an insult as they were raised in different cultures. However, just because they do not understand does not mean that it is not an insult.

But when someone extends their middle finger in an angry fashion towards you, they are saying "F*** you". I don't get offended when people are reading something using their middle finger to keep place of where they are at on the page.

So, what is one saying by wearing a hat inside? "I disrespect you"? I mostly don't understand why this rule only applies to people once they are inside of a building. Probably because of my low reading comprehension...my parents didn't beat me enough.

And something I've learned is that the level of offense taken from a word or gesture is directly proportional to the level of dislike you have of the person before they made the gesture or said the word. You know, how certain groups get all bent out of shape when a politician on the opposing side says a slur that is used widely by their own community.

I choose not to give you enough power over myself to allow your words or gestures to get the better of me.

Most cultures have things that are considered insulting. Some it is sticking a business card in your wallet and then sticking that in a back pocket, some it is showing the bottom of your shoes, and there are many more. Here if you want to be considered a polite, well mannered person, take your fricking hat off when you are indoors.

Hickman, like I posted earlier in the thread, the kid who came in after the arrest was likely there for transport and cops on bidness usually get more slack (the whole "have your cover on when under arms").

However, if he was going to stay, then, yes, the kid should have been reminded to remove his stocking cap.

So name-calling is good to go, talking about how "your" parents raised you the wrong way is fine, wiretapping is dandy, x-ray machines and nude imaging being passed around is great, but wearing a hat inside of a building is such an offense to Americans that it will land you in jail?

I haven't seen much politeness in this thread and I have seen fewer manners. I don't care if you're wearing a hat or not when you tell me I have low reading comprehension. It's still rude.

The hat is still the issue to me. Nobody has the right to make me remove an article of my clothing from my body that doesn't have anything foul on it. A hat (whether) weather worn indoors or outdoors is still a hat, it doesn't become a big FU as soon as it enters a building. I don't even understand how anyone can say it somehow offends them that a HAT is worn in a building, it's a freaken hat. Do they bring bad luck? How about germs or cooties?

Sounds more like a bunch of cry babies just wanna find something to be offended by. Judges included!

Well I suggest this for you to vent your frustration. Next week why don't you attend a trail at Marion County Superior Court and see what happens when you refuse to remove that hat covering you head.

You then could give us a AAR as to what happened and how bad the judge screwed you over.

NOW here's a little thought to be popped into your head (or on your head for all you non conformers:D) .........

In the Middle East it is disrespectful to show the soles of your feet to someone, so how can some of you people not consider wearing a hat inside not see the same thing as being disrespectful?

Why, I'll tell you why, because you fail to see that it can be that's why.

glad the d-bags got what they had coming, but just looked a little stupid to have a cop in a hat in there a few mins later

    Great wisdom here.

That's why I tell people to blow kisses at cops.

    Among other things, yes.

I mostly don't understand why this rule only applies to people once they are inside of a building.

Why are the two fingers a rude gesture? Historical tradition.

The doffing your hat tradition grows out of several historical traditions: the armoured knight, the wearing of hats to protect against offal thrown from windows, respect for the property owner, inter alia.

But as you already know, he wasn't charged with wearing a hat. He was charged with contempt of court. He was asked by a court officer to do something that he refused to do. It could have just as easily been popping his gum, putting his feet up on other seats, etc. All of those things are considered disrespectful as well.

I don't recall ever commenting on your reading comprehension. You seem terribly absorbed with that.

I think you bring up a good point. Do our laws make more sense than hyper-sensitive control-freak laws that exist in the middle east?

I wear a hat every day, a fedora or a Homburg. I am in court every day. I have never in 27 years of practicing law seen a single court room where hats could be worn. It is disrespectful and anyone behaving the way the idiot did on the video deserves whatever he gets. In our courts here in Tennessee, you're asked once nicely to remove your hat, if you refuse you are arrested, normally on Disorderly Conduct, then the Judge has the option of also finding you in contempt. There are places where proper behavior and dress are still required and those that ignore those rules do so at their peril.

    a. I don't know
    b. I don't know or care
    c. Nope, and again I don't care if court was in session or not. Just a bit of irony.

NOTHING there called for the waste of tax payers money, they could have simply thrown him out on the sidewalk and been done with it.

Glad my tax dollars aren't paying for that stupidity...

See that is where you are wrong, YOU are arguing about hats. The rest of us understand the hat was/is not the issue.

I'm not sure that he is arguing about the actual act of wearing a hat, so much as calling for some common sense and maturity. This has nothing to do with insult/disrespect. The real reason that hats are not allowed is because it might affect the outcome of the courtroom's proceedings, of course.

I think that what we should be really concerned about what will happen when this shows up in court:
    hairhat.jpg

What a disrespectful and insulting guy, huh. I bite my thumb at you sir, for such insult. I demand that we as a public of decent and respectful people, take action against such insult as this!
