I wish the Canadian government and it's people the best of luck. What little gun freedoms they have are probably even more in jeopardy. Most likely here will be knee jerk reactions within the Canadian government. They will most likely call for even stricter gun control. Like that will solve the issue.
Ottawa has had 4 homicides in the last year. It has similar population to Indianapolis with our 115 or so homicides to their 4. I can't see a push to REDUCE their weapon laws based on that.

Yep, all of those young security types running around, but when someone needed shot, it was the old guy that took care of business.

He received a standing ovation at the House of Commons a few minutes ago. He only used his gun on the guy because he couldn't find his mace.

Some possible inside info from an extended family member. While not really surprising, there are some indications that the shooter(s) had links to ISIS.

Not really sure how much credibility to give this, particularly since the person has the right contacts, but may be relaying speculation by people who are supposed to investigate that possibility.

    Good for them...

...but what do you expect? Can't dwell too much on the terrorist; it screws with the narrative many people want to advance.

The countdown to "lone crazy guy without an agenda" or "what have we done to anger this man" commentaries.
