      I'm sucking it up

Cisco is good only if it's purely Cisco. The Liknsys/Cisco stuff is the bastard child of both companies, and doesn't last.

      I'm sucking it up

Stay away from the newer Linksys Routers. I just lost one that had only been in service for about a year. I replaced it with a Airport Extreme router. More than the rest of the routers out there, but it's built like a tank. Buffalo and Netgear routers are good buys as well. I've used Netgear...

      building an ark

Can I gain passage in exchange for technical support on the vessel? Also, I am neither a 9mm or .45 fanboy, but rather a .44 Remmington fan. Does that make me an odd man out?

Indy area folks, where do you go for local news on the web?

While I'm sure our choices for national and international news is different, where do folks here go for local Indy area news? I prefer the Guardian for national and international news, because they actually do journalism, compared to CNN and the like. It seems like the local TV stations pages...

Who else is working on Christmas this year?

As a fellow husband of an RN, I can relate. There are times she gets frustrated by her job, but she wants to be there for her people. A thankless job that not many can do. I know I couldn't. She's off Christmas this year, but will be there Christmas Eve. As for myself, Tues-Weds. are my normal...

Diet Pepsi is not diet Coke

Snopes says that may not be true. To each their own, I guess.

Christmas light display in Versailles, IN?

Curious to this as well. Was thinking about taking my daughter next week, and I'd hate to make a 50+ mile drive for nuthin.

Diet Pepsi is not diet Coke

At least I know at the place I used to work the fountains were taken care of. We had two sets of nozzles for our fountains (per company policy, no less) and they were switched daily. The one set got cleaned, sanitized, and dried, while the other set went on. Happened every day without fail...

      Goodbye, Mr. O'Toole

Lawrence of Arabia always maintains a special place in my movie collection. A true cinematic masterpiece, compared to some of the crap that comes out today. He will be missed.

      ISP capturing Cell Phone Data!!

Aside from quoting yourself to prove your theory, you mean to tell me that someone can remotely turn on a device who's battery is drained so far that it cannot start on its own? Have you seen a tear down of a modern smart phone? There is nothing there, no capacitors or anything that can allow that.

      INGO tat?

This guy has to be named Donnie, and talk about how things are state law. And have a mullet. Please, tell me I am correct.

      ISP capturing Cell Phone Data!!

I deal with and support phones on a daily basis. I have seen extensive tear downs of the devices I support, teardowns that identify every chip on every board. There is no way that those devices are on with a dead battery. Trust me, I wish that were the case when I'm talking to someone who lost a...

Custom built gaming rig, monitor and keyboard -- $400 firm I am selling my gaming rig in hopes of switching to a Mac, so my loss is your gain. This system will come with a fresh install of Windows 8.1 (or Windows 7 Pro, buyer's choice) and Office 2012. When I was using this for gaming, not...
