If you had $10k to buy guns with, what would you buy?

M-79 and USGI parts for my LRB M14SA receiver. Any leftover towards ammo.

      Cheapest M14

If you get into the Chicom stuff you may have issues swapping parts out for USGI, especially flash supressors and castle nuts. They spot welded a lot of them and the thread patterns may be different.

SKS Part Failure and Spare Parts

Sarco has an SKS survival kit that should have everything you need. There is a basic and a more comprehensive kit.

      coyote gun?

I hunt song dogs with a Rem 700 VLS in .22-250. I used to hunt from the ground but do better from a treestand.

      Numrich Gun Parts

Brownells ships fast and has about anything you could want, but they are awful proud of their inventory and their prices reflect that.

What is your preferred deer slug

I shoot Winchester 2 3/4" Platinum Tips out of my 870. Before I put the rifled barrel on it, I shot Brenneke 2 3/4" heavy field short mags. Those always put em down, but they usually ran a bit. They were very, very accurate for a rifled slug.

      Knob Creek

I like Makers, but I'm a George Dickel fan myself.

      Knob Creek

      Don't forget about the flamethrower

      Springfield M1A

If you need mags, check out CMI. They have the gov't. contract and also supply Springfield with theirs. Check out 44mag.com

      M14SA

That is a really awesome idea! I never would have thought about that. I beleive I can do that. It is going to be a long journey indeed, but worth it in the end.

      M14SA

Going to do it, I am finally going to be able to get an LRB M14SA receiver. The plan is to build an all TRW M14 clone. It is going to be a long process, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

      Bowling Pins

I could go for a few.

      ported barrels

Not sure about a handgun, but porting makes a rifle significantly louder because the report is directed 90 degrees to you instead of away from the muzzle. It will also increase the concussion felt by the shooter.

Taking off work for 1st day of dove season

I was the only guy in my group to get a limit this morning. It only took me about an hour and a half, but it took almost two boxes of shells. It took about a box just to figure out what the heck I was doing.

What's the LOUDEST gun you own?

It was my M1A Scout/Squad until I replaced the muzzle brake with a flash hider.

      Hello from Vincennes

Welcome Dave. I grew up in Bicknell and live in Terre Haute now. I go back that way every few weeks to see my family.

      M1A

Sadlak Industries is also another place to poke around.

      30 rounds + this = ouch

What is the concusion like on something like that? Sometimes that can be worse than the actual recoil.

mossberg500 vs remington 870 which is better?

It's tied up now. 21-21. I voted 870 because I like a steel receiver on my guns.
