I haven't been on here very long either but already have learned tons about people that live relatively close to me. It is actually a very upbeat thing joining this site. I was beginning to think hardly anyone discussed anything relating to firearms anymore and if you did you just never knew...
I guess it is another case of murder with a gun in a gun free zone. They just don't get it, or else they do and don't care. I think they need to arm every citizen in Chicago and see if the gun violence drops or increases. It would cease to even exist more than likely. Our prayers are with...
Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. I will look into eagle creek and indy gun safety. Coach, it is good to hear news like this about Riley CC, I will be attending the next meeting if I can't apply online. We may be neighbors, I live in Amo, just signed up to be a member at the Legion there...
This was a completely fantastic day but now I need input, help and advice. My first born daughter went to Plainfield Shooting Supply today, picked out and purchased her first gun all by herself. She is only 20 so they are holding it until I can pick it up for her and run it through my name...
That makes perfect sense and without the primers all else is in vain. Ironically, I have always feared that and have loaded up on 223 brass, primers, bullets and powder but in my haste to get these items I did completely neglected my 9mm. As of right now I have about 600 sp primers and I will...
Indy Guy, just went and looked at the assault weapons page you have at the bottom of your post. That is the most informative, to the point article I have ever read. I have book marked it and plan on sending it to every liberal I know. Do you have a copy of it in some kind of Word or...
Good point rg, I guess there are for the most part only four major sizes of primers for several different calibers of ammo, so it only makes sense. Thanks, and casting your own bullets was something I hadn't thought of. I have never tried that aspect of reloading, but it does look interesting.
Broom, why do you think the primers will be more difficult than the bullets? I agree with you especially from what I am seeing right now, but why is it the primers? The one thing I didn't think I would be able to get was powder and it is available everywhere?!?
I wonder if when all this blows over and everyone ends up with thousands of rounds and no one needs any anymore if the prices will actually come back down to a realistic range. It is almost impossible to find anything at a fair price to just "go shootin" with. I can't even find reloading...
I just bought 200 rounds yesterday and probably paid too much but I got Lake City once fired for $15 per 100, also was allowed to get my 3 boxes of 22lr for $4 a box while I was there.
Sorry to have appeared so ignorant there Johnny, I have never claimed to be a professor of Indiana law. I THOUGHT we were a concealed carry state, my mistake. Obviously offending someone else is not something that bothers you at all. I am NOT a spammer, I am a new member that was simply trying...
How can a group be so hell bent on passing laws that, in THEIR OPINION, saves lives by restricting guns and fight equally as hard for abortion rights? Lives are lives, am I wrong? They are pathetic.
I buy all my reloading stuff there, they are running short but still have a lot of stuff no one else does. It's a great place to visit unless Bob is trying to sing along with the radio, I know why he sells guns instead of singing for a living!!
I will confess I did not read all 130 posts, and I am only playing the devil's advocate anyway, but if we are a conceal carry state, we should be responsible enough to not even allow our firearm to be noticed in the first place. I wish I were more informed on our laws regarding this though. Is...
I bet a days pay I am doing this wrong or putting it in the wrong place but hey, I am the new guy!! I honestly have looked and can not find an answer or I wouldn't have asked, but is there a way to get the thread posts to read from newest to oldest or is that just the way it is? It seems when...
There's a fairly new gun shop in Martinsville that has some 22lr. They will only sell 3 50 round boxes of it per customer, which I understand. Also, I found a little bit of brass there as well. I am not a hoarder so I will share...I paid $14.95 per 100 for Lake City 223 brass, not sure if it...
Do you guys remember about 15 years back when Bradis was selling SKS's for about $45 a piece, but you had to pick through them to find a good one? Then you could buy the wooden cases of 7.62x39 full of 20 round boxes that were going for a dollar a box? Still have tons of that sutff and it...
I have not been shooting nearly as much as I would like. I refuse to pay the high prices and I will not buy ammo from the hoarders. I will continue to shoot until my reserve is gone then just sit and wait to buy back all the supplies that people bought up in the panic. 22LR, really?? Why??
It is really a hard decision to make. It seems the best people in the retail business all work in gun shops. I live close to Plainfield shooting Supplies, and if you know Bob Cheek and his staff, you would agree there are no better people. Then again, I just took my 20 year old daughter to...
