      me too bought a bunch of the 1980's 55 grain malaysian .556 to shoot through my lug less heavy 20" with the manufacture date stamped into the side of the receiver.

      Ammunition shelf life?

      im guessing this 7mm mauser ammo is about 100 years old by the 4-14 mark on tag, and was un opened when i bought them. from the looks of the boxes it may have got damp at least once. about half of the wincheser stuff is bad but every remington cartridge is good and shoots just fine in my 1895...

      my wife got us some peaches last week because they were canned in a glass jar and the syrup was made of sugar instead of corn syrup. they were very good but they were made in china. who knew?
