    Paul Rimpler was a local knife maker and Dad and I sold quite a few of his knives through our gunshop. I personally owned 8-10 of his knives but sold most over the years only holding onto this one. Somewhere in the house I think I still have one of his marked blanks as well, an upswept skinner but so far can't seem to locate it after the move a couple years ago...

    nice! i have a rimpler fillet knife with the same handle as yours but the blade is probably 16" and a few of his throwing knives. i think paul was from twelve mile, where was your gun shop?
