Handled a P250 at Popgun a couple of weeks ago. Although I'm becoming more of a DA/SA fan, the DAO trigger didn't feel bad at all. Smooth, light and pretty crisp break.
I'd consider the P250 if I was locking for a DAO pistol.
Used to have a CW40. I loved the size and weight...but I couldn't for the life of me get used to the long suspenseful trigger pull.
As such I wasn't comfortable shooting it so I sold it earlier this year and picked up a Sig P229.
If Kahr made something slim but with a Sig DA/SA trigger...that...
Thanks for all the feedback gents. I've considered 1911s in the past and I know I will have one eventually, but I'm not sure how comfortable I can get carrying them cocked and locked. (I know...training...training...training... :) )
Reason why I've been leaning to the DA/SA options is so I can...
Aside from Sigs and 1911 style pistols, who else makes DA/SA pistols?
I've been shooting a recently acquired P229 in 40SW and I think I've fallen in love with it. :)
Compared to my G23 and M&P40, it's night and day. The trigger on the Sig is so much nicer and it's allowing me to shoot much...
I never thought I'd have to carry until one fateful night. Staring down the barrel of a chrome 38 during a robbery and being shot at will make you want to sure you're able to return the favor.
Luckily the "homies" had terrible aim.
Well I think the fever hit hard and quick because I just bought my first Glock from a friend of mine. :) It's G23 so I'm still shooting 40SW but if I can recall I shot one fairly well. If it doesn't give me the same warm and fuzzies as with the G26, maybe i'll put it up for trade.
I highly recommend the Bullbelts. I have two myself in tan and black...got to make sure it works with both my CC and my wardrobe. :)
Plus you can put your choice of buckle on them as they aren't riveted.
So I recently took my wife to shoot handguns for the first time. She's never really liked firearms but over the last couple of years she's gotten used to them and now has her LTCH.
She had purchased a deal thingy from Livingsocial to go to Popguns that gave her 1hr of range time, 50 rounds of...
Saiga 12 with bolt open, safety off and full mag. Just needs a tug on the charging handle to send it to battery.
Used to keep the bolt closed, but it deforms the first shell.
Looking to buy a P239, would prefer 40SW but will consider 9mm.
Hope to have it before my wife's LTCH permit arrives.
Box and min. 2 mags with firearm please.
Will consider all offers.
One thing I'd highly recommend having in any bug out bag is a poncho/basha.
GERMAN ARMY HEAVYDUTY RUBBERIZED PONCHO BASHA BIVVYgr1 on eBay (end time 02-Apr-11 13:21:39 BST)
It can be used as a wet weather poncho, ground cover, shelter or even a rain water collector.
I had something similar...
