My 4506 I bought at the 1500 last year for $260 is my favorite! A new $8 recoil spring and she work like a charm!

I would however LIKE my favorite to be a Springfield Loaded Stainless but alas I do not own one :(

I love my 1911s, but I carry daily and trust my life to my Glock 21. I have carried this big thing so many years do not even notice the bulkiness anymore. Not sure why but out of all my pistols I shoot this the best, very accurate. This Glock with my reloads 230 FMJ over 6.0 grains Unique will make a ragged hole in center of a 5in shootnc at 15yds.

That's like saying witch child do you love more.... Colt 1911 gold cup to my glocks they all have a soft spot in my heart. My favorite one to shoot is probably my colt custom shop 70s series. Just because it has a better trigger than my sw52 and I shoot wonderfully tight groups with it. My favorite carry piece either glock 30 or 21 for work. Life it death my hk usp will be there flawlessly and has been for over 20,000 rds.

I'll say my S&W M&P, of course it's the only 45 I've ever shot. If somebody wants to loan me a 1911, I'll be more than happy to try it out!

While a 1911 is the quintessential 45, your question is a little general. I have a few 45s and they all serve different purposes. Here are some of mine:

    Cowboy Action:
    - Two 45 Colt Vaqueros
    - Sistema 1927 for Wild Bunch
    - Marlin lever action rifle
    - Rossi 1892 rifle

    Steel Plate Matches:
    - S&W 625 w/ fiber optic front sight
    - Kimber Target Classic 1911

    Bullseye:
    - S&W 625 w/ red dot sight
    - Custom Colt 1911

    Mowing in my woods:
    - XD 45

    Carry:
    - Kimber Ultra Carry 1911 (sometimes)

I guess I have the most fun shooting steel with my 625. I enjoy shooting it and reloads with the moonclips are pretty quick. I'm partial to revolvers.

I have enjoyed the Colt Gold up. Un fortunately I went through a divorce and had to sell it to pay the attorney. I have my eye on another one and hope to buy it soon.
