As a citizen, what can I do to ensure you patrol my neighborhood more? Should I have a cookout once a week and invite LEO over?

I don't own a business to give you free stuff, but I want to make sure my area is safe too.

From many of your other recent posts, I figure you'd feel safer if the police avoided your area.

I think the active shooter situations they keep talking about now will be the police firing on the folks who don't want to cooperate with them, now. I'll be happy when I can secure my acreage in the woods and have a nice little place off the beaten path. Don't want to live in a city, don't want to live in 'town' even if it's a small one.

Yeah, but Madison consists of 12,000 people and the likelihood of this vehicle being needed is too damn low. It's frightening to think that small towns all over the country are getting heavy duty militarized vehicles. What next? Just give them tanks. Our police station is near a coffee shop. Maybe they should get in full swat gear and walk to the coffee shop in a tactical formation 'just in case'. That way they can be prepared in case something bad happens :P
