Why not just unseal the warrant so it can be seen by the public? Seems that would go a heck of a long way to clear up what was listed as the material to be seized. Them just saying "everything we thought we would find, we found", then sealing the warrant under "safety precautions" stinks to high heaven. No offense to any LEOs, but you work for us. You have no right whatsoever to hide pertinent information from the citizens for whom you serve when and if they demand it of you.
Patriot Act. It is national security dontcha know

He pointed a gun. They pointed back and fired. I am asumming he did not fire because he was killed.

Let's try to make this simple for you...
Question: Who fired the first shot?
Answer: A "highly trained" swat officer who obviously missed the class where they taught that you shouldn't have your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to shoot.
Question: Who fired the last shot?
    Answer: The officers.
Question: Who fired every other shot?
Answer: The "high speed, low drag" special weapons and tactics team.
Question: Why did any of the officers fire?
Answer: Because one of their elite officers doesn't know the basic rules of gun safety.
Question: Who refused to allow medical treatment for the injured?
    Answer: The officers.
    Question: Who is dead?
    Answer: Jose Guarena.
Question: How many shots did this combat veteran get off?
    Answer: ZERO.
    Question: Who were the aggressors?
    Answer: The officers.

    Question: Who is at fault?

Crouching can also be a offensive position. You keep saying he took a defensive position. I never read that only that he was crouching. If he knew there were 8 men at the door he knew they were swat. Oh swats here think ill get a gun. They wear identifying uniforms. He would have seen the vehicles. Your trying to set up unlikely circumstances that make it sound like this guy was Mr. innocent. If this story is fabricated thats something totally different. As it reads the shooting was justified. The only think I would take concerned with would be failing to render aid after the shooting.
Here's why it will never be a justified shoot in my mind: the mere sight of a firearm in the hands of the homeowner is NEVER--let me repeat that for you--NEVER sufficient for the use of deadly force. If LE gets to assume that physically possessing a firearm is an imminent threat, then why can't homeowner's assume the same thing about LE? They are proving it to be true almost daily now.

SWAT: have gun, WILL shoot (just need patsy target).

Never seen the uniforms that particular team wears. Typically they have a big patch in from and back. This never would have happened if he did not point a fire arm at a police officer who was in his home lawfully.

This would never have happened if the King's Men didn't feel they had the license to kill when they invade a plebe's home without notice.

How about ****in' knockin' on the door first and seeing if the perp complies? Oh, yes, because the drugs that weren't part of the investigation might get flushed. Is saving the evidence worth a man's life? Is it THAT ****in' important to get it RFN that you can justify taking his life without so much as a knock at his door or even "Put the firearm down" demand?

I will not be happy to see it, but there will come a time when this attitude LE is perceived to have regarding the value of the lives they are presumably sworn to protect will come back to bite them in ass if things don't change.

Do you have ANY idea how stupid that statement was? If they were ready to shoot, then why did the first shot hit the door jamb? Which door jamb? The door jamb that THEY WERE STANDING IN!
