Aren't you overstating his proposal a little? I thought he said he wanted a temporary freeze on muslim immigration until we "could figure out what the hell's going on". I don't think that's very practical, but it's not the straw monster people are making it out to be either.

But point taken, probably most Muslims would think the majority of Muslims coming into the country are more like them and less like terrorists.

It depends. A Muslim from Morocco is a lot different than one from Syria or Iraq.

I think that article totally buries the lede. The issue in 1991 was whether Donald would leave Marla for Carla Bruni. The same Carla Bruni who married Nicholas Sarkozy.

So, if Trump is elected president, Ms. Bruni would be able to claim 2 heads of state.
