The person I am speaking of had an excellent world class neurosurgeon that saved their life. So I agree with you 100% on quality doctors. There are people in the medical field that said with the person's condition that this was where you needed to go. It was a bad experience generally overall outside of that. The place might as well been a prison. Something good on medical care and treatments will come out of this mess the last two years.
I have 4 specialists involved outside the douche bag oncologist we fired.
After riding the lightning of Chemo and such we decided the wave I was riding was going to hit the same beach regardless of any further treatments so all that has stopped. And my life is actually better. I still require some support from the others but refuse any further tests or medical Voodoo that is designed to drain our savings for the benefit of others.
They play on your fear. Don't let them.
Yes, the Drs are for the most part top shelf at IU but they are driven by profits,

This regime will never stop trying to strip personal freedoms away. It's a nonstop effort on all fronts.

This crap has got to stop. But as long as the useful idiots stay masked alone in their cars with the windows up there is always hope for the asshats that want to control us.

Supreme Court sides with Gov. Holcomb over emergency powers law

To be fair, the legislature can call for additional sessions, but it must do so while already in session.

I'll have to read the decision later, but it seems to me to be an egregious violation of the principle of separation of powers for the Legislature, a co-equal branch of government, to be dependent upon the Executive to call a special session - especially when the Legislature is calling that session in response to overreach by the Executive branch.

I agree. But it seems like they need to work on codifying just how long an executive "emergency" order can remain in effect and make it mandatory to have legislative review via a special session after that time has lapsed. Like I said, the legislature can call for a special session, but they have to call for it while they're in session, so it will take advance planning.

The crux of the ruling is that it's laid out this way in the state constitution.

Yes. As I remember it, they had their chance this past session to fix this problem going forward and instead passed (what I thought at the time) was a half measure. I kind of thought it wouldn’t be seen as constitutional. The Indiana GOP, as a whole, are sympathetic to the entire mask and shut down paradigm that spread across the nation 2 years ago. And I’m not talking about the politicians, I’m talking about the voters. Maybe if we’d had a democrat governor, they might have passed something with more teeth in it…maybe. But that would probably only be if the hypothetical democrat governor had been like Michigan’s or Illinois’.

I was at my local grocery store and in walked a guy with three masks on. I caught myself staring so I broke my gaze and noticed that I wasn't the only one.
I went about my shopping, and got what I needed, and this same guy ends up directly in front of me in check out line.
So I ask him if he is sick he said no he just didn't want to get covid
Milan Indiana mind you. Hopefully he's from out of town and passing through.

The daughter's graduation was yesterday. Thousands of people, probably less than 20 masks seen. There was hundreds of graduates and I think only one had a mask on as she walked across the stage.

They still have to wear them at my daughter and wife's work.

I had to make a run to Bloomington yesterday and am always amazed at how many more people up there are still masked up than down south.

They are them cheap surgical mask. They won't stop covid if he gets around it. I don't care how many layers he had of them. N95 mask are better but not 100% reliable. Why not get something that is actually proven to work at least he has a chance.

    Edit:
I guess I was amazed at the stupidity of the situation more than anything. Want to wear a mask or three at least get one that works.
