When it comes to the lack of unity within the party, Pence should say something like this - perhaps even polish it into a laugh line:

Now, more than ever, the Republican Party has shown that it is the big-tent party. Belief in basic human freedom includes belief in the right of people to disagree, even within our own party. The Republican Party accepts all believers in liberty. The Republican Party gives voice to all those whose freedom is more valuable to them than government handouts. The Republican Party promotes the fundamental liberty for people to choose their destiny, and the destiny of our great nation. Heck, some people say we didn't even nominate a Republican! And that's ok.

I don't think I have known of a presidential candidate have worse post-convention than Trump. It's honestly amazing that he still polls the way he does. I mean hell, even the VFW has commented on his lunacy. The freaking V-F-W!

He has completely earned that post-convention drop. I held my nose on him as long as I could and now I am looking at Gary Johnson and his positions. Both of them are really bad at this point.
