I am curious why Sanders' numbers continue to improve so steadily in this type of polling.
IIRC last week Rubio was on top of a match-up with Sanders by +3. That's a pretty big swing in one week.

Side observation: Trump's national numbers are generally slumping. My working theory is that Trump supporters are going to Sanders, in at least comparable numbers as to the other Republican candidates.

That other thread, where Trump mistook Sanders' campaign for his own, is insightful.

Something else I've been watching in the RCP possible pairings polling
Trump polls as losing a close race with Clinton. As of a week ago Rubio was the only one (in this format) who could win against Hitlery. Now ALL the also rans also poll as beating Clinton. It was also true last week that Rubio polled as the only one who could also beat Sanders. Now that is no longer true. I am curious why Sanders' numbers continue to improve so steadily in this type of polling.

My guess is that clinton supporters are slowly jumping ship, and previously would not touch bernie at all.

...yet "SO YOU'D VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT THEN!?" demands this many posts?...

It was a simple question. If Trump ends up being the R nominee, who will you vote for in the general election? R, D, throw away?

No reason to blather on, your position is clear. Just the question please. ^^^ Answer or not.

While my simple questions remain unanswered by others... I did answer this one in a response to Jamil upthread. I'd be the dick that stays home.

On what planet does anyone care what the pope thinks?

Careful. Couple million USian Catholic voters do.

    ETA:
According to this, Catholic participation in voting is about 25% of the overall electorate.

    This one.

"As of 2010, there are nearly 1.1 billion Catholics, up from an estimated 291 million in 1910. Catholics comprise 50 percent of all Christians worldwide and 16 percent of the world's total population."

The pope called for the second amendment to be repealed.

Pretty sure he's just another piece of liberal progressive trash. If he says something negative about Trump, that's like a friggin endorsement.

The pope spends much of his days calling for things that won't happen.

That doesn't mean people don't "care what the pope thinks" which was your original assertion.

Pretty sure he's just another piece of liberal progressive trash.
Wait, is this about the pope or Trump or Sanders? You lost me.

Much like with Hillary and Sanders -- it's already baked in. People don't care. They like what these candidates are saying now and don't care about that past stuff. It's already been absorbed, discounted, and now ignored.

Disappointed that this post didn't get more traction, or at least anyone defending it. So here it is again.

A "republican" donated to these hard-left people, and Democrat organizations.

Yawn. The Koch brothers, those bastions of closet progressivism also give money to Democrats, and some pretty nasty ones at that. Isn't that the way businessmen do things? Has Trump failed to give money to Republicans? Has he given to Democrats since he began to run for office? He. Was. A. Businessman. If you wish to rail against anything, rail against the whores that take the money.

ETA: Remember, money is just another name for $peech and some peeps can afford more than others
