ummmm...yes, we have had conversations on INGO in the past. I understand playing Devil's Advocate, but perhaps it would work better in a less condescending way?
(CindyE is hurt and feels insignificant)

And you thought my post Jamil was condescending? Ask him if he feels the same. I can certainly condescend, but I typically do that to particular sect of people. Jamil isn't in that group.

I was talking about in general, not that particular post.

Rule of thumb CindyE. If a person talks to me like they are an adult, that will be reciprocated. If a person talks to me like they've been raised by morons, I will address them that way.

See, i rarely see people talking to you that act like they were raised by morons. I've seen a few on here act like morons to just about everyone, but if they do it often, they aren't usually here for long. I've been here since 2011, just don't post as much as some.

Moving on, before someone thinks they smell blood in the water:

Corey Lewandowski dismissed the story of a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was reportedly separated from her mother after crossing the border illegally.
While appearing Tuesday on Fox News, former senior Democratic National Committee adviser Zac Petkanas shared an anecdote he had read about "a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome" who had been "taken from her mother and put in a cage."
"Womp womp," the former Trump campaign manager responded.

Rather that expressing something along the lines of how unfortunate the situation was, and then falling back to the position of the administration's policy and how it is implemented in accordance with law, Lewandowski, shows just how classy a guy he is.

Well CindyE, if you ever care to look, you will find that when things go off the rails, I'm not the one starting it. If it were something that rarely occurred, then I could ignore it, but since it happens fairly often, I won't allow myself to be bullied by those who would try. Just not cut from that cloth.

Ms "Unsure about Brown V Board," DHS secretary, and apparently forgetful of her family's fairly recent trek from Denmark, is given some grief by local socialists.

With chants of "shame" and "end family separation," protesters shouted at Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen as she dined at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, DC.
Protesters from the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America came into MXDC Cocina Mexicana, a popular restaurant near the White House, holding signs and confronted Nielsen on Tuesday night.

This is the thing I've been harping on the past few days with anyone with an ear. There's a very reasonable way to answer this. No one in Trump's administration seems to get it though. They keep trying to slam it, when the simple layup is money.

But about Lewandowski, WTF does he have to do with anything? He's a used rubber.

It's purposeful, I believe. How many times have you heard people, even here, talk about how they want wanted people to "fight back" against liberals. Many of this administration's supporters want the contentious interactions. They believe the left did the say, and so now they want their people to do the same thing.

Well, fine. Be contentious. It's not like there's a derth of truth with which to kick the **** out of ideological enemies. They don't have to confirm the opposition.

"Yeah. Damn straight we're inhuman! Suck it!"

I don't think that Sessions was wising in using Scripture in that situation. No doubt about that. However, in the end, all he was saying is that people shouldn't do illegal things. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the way he went about stating the non-controversial position was a distraction.

    Oh! Oh! Bible stuff... :rockwoot:

Jeff Sessions wasn't wrong in citing that, however, you better be darn sure the law is righteous, or at least not sinful...

In this case, it's probably OK. ...I think.

Stephen Colbert's retort, on the other hand, is a bad retort when he tries to use Romans 13:10 as a counter:
Love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law,

The problem is there's two means of the word "law". In first half of the chapter, Paul is referring to the civil law, that is laws instituted by man. In the second half, the law referred to is the Mosaic Law, the law set forth in the Ten Commandments.

I heard this story reported on NPR Friday afternoon... My wife can confirm that I was shouting, "No! No! No!" in the car when I heard that bit of scripture twisting. Romans 13:10 in no way invalidates the rule of law in government.
