I have one of those. 2nd Model with Octagon barrel. Made I believe in 1906.

It was my wife's Daddy's rifle when he was a youngin...

I thought I had a picture on this laptop, but can't find it. Must have been my old laptop...

Our Winchester 1890 is labeled .22 Long, but it shoots LR without a problem...

Those old Winchester 1890 22s bring pretty big money when they sell. The ones with the octagon barrels.
I don't know anything about them. They had 3, and they were all different models. I believe one did have an octagon barrel. Whatever they go for, I'm sure I'd could get one cheaper than there. They had Garands at about $1800 and I saw a couple of Enfields over a grand. :faint:
After I got back to my feet, I knew there was nothing there for me.

    Is she happy?

She's happy I went with her, but she didn't buy anything. She has a price from an acquaintance at wholesale, I knew she wouldn't find a similar price at a retail diamond broker. Not a Jewelry store, we went to a couple diamond brokers... She is going to buy her diamond in Chicago 1st part of December when the acquaintance is back in the area..... This guy is from LA

    .
    Satellite keeps dropping off tonight.

I would get that 1890 appraised Sam, those things can be worth more than diamonds.
