I guess I should go fix something to go with the roast. It is smelling good...should be just about ready.

Need to heat up the rice bag to put on my neck too.

Thanks. I've been figuring it out as I go thus far. Made a hell of a mess thinning down the joint compound (pulled mixer too far out of the bucket while the drill was running). I have a 12" knife (as well as a 6", 8", and 10"). Today was my very first attempt at taping.

    :yesway:......
An' uhhh.....don' waste yer $$ on'a 'angle knife'.....never could do worth fiddlers da*n with 1..... :):....without a REAL angle tool .....I do 1 side 1st.....let it dry some, then run the other side....

I really should go open the safe and check. They probably miss me.
    What were you shooting today?

Went for a walk in the woods with the Winchester 1895. I can see now why people thought they were great hunting rifles, lot of different clicking and clacking when you work the lever compared to a Marlin or regular Winchester though. In 30-40 Krag it stays on target even with 180 grain bullets.

Wife has one of those, she loves it!

I have a bigger one that I put on my back sometimes, but the curved one for my neck is used a lot more.

It will warm me up a bit too. We need to start the fire pretty soon I think...down to 30 tonight.

No use being cold in the morning.

I have never owned a lever gun.
Had one for a couple years while I was in the army. I lived off base and stored a lot of the buddies guns.

You need a lever gun. John Wayne used one in a lot of movies and that's reason enough.:)

Cabelas did have a lot of older guns in the library room. They had 3 old pump Winchester .22s. Always wanted one of those. Some old Colt and SW wheel guns, WWII 1911s, etc.

Those old Winchester 1890 22s bring pretty big money when they sell. The ones with the octagon barrels.
