Just finished watching Street Outlaws in Memphis. The last race with Murder Nova vs the red Chevy. Holy . That wheelstand was insane. How he didn't wreck is beyond me.

i had a 79 4x4....lifted it and built the 1.8L with shaved head,regound cam,Weber 2 barrel,header and glasspack exhaust.....it ran pretty good....

My father-in -law had one of these when I met his daughter. It was actually pretty capable in on-road, treacherous driving conditions. But man, were they poor quality vehicles.

That is pretty cool! My second car was a '72 Vega. Had a 2-barrel carb, no rust and didn't smoke. It was a lot of fun for a 16 year old. I blew the rearend out twice drag racing it. Once I shattered the spider gears and once I ripped the control arm out of the mounts.

My friends one time talked me into making a pass when we were at the track one day. I lined up with a Trans Am and beat him! We were rolling on the ground laughing our butts off! The Trans Am owner came by and wanted to see the "V8". I opened the hood and then admitted that I did have yellow spark plug wires and a chrome air cleaner. He just walked away.

Hey, if you cut a better light and hang on for all it's worth, you can beat faster cars.

Btw, that pass was sub 18 seconds.
