:lmfao: You won't have to worry about that! I was seriously embarrassed at how the Roadrunner came out of the booth. It was crazy dry, should have been a two man job... I have a lot of work into making it look as good as it does. I have a process down that works amazing for sanding and buffing out clear.

To big a car to keep it all wet....????

Talked to my "guy" this morning about an engine. I just don't know that I can get away from a Pontiac engine.... He started specing out a 433ci poncho for me. Now I gotta figure out how to pay for it. :faint:

This is a fellow INGOer's car.

If he sees thread and this pic, I'll let him chime in and ID himself.

I have owned 2 late 60's nova's. I love these cars. Great street fighter if you set them up right.
I see a set of lakewoods under this one. Or Mr. Gaskets.
    And a nice exhaust system.
    Yes, Rally's are timeless

Anybody ever done a 1/2 mile shootout event? There's one next month in French Lick.

INDIANA ½ MILE SHOOTOUT - wannaGOFAST - 1/2 Mile Racing Events

I have seen these. Also 1 mile and flying 1/2 mile runs.
All of my cars were set up/geared for light to light (1/8th mile) with the ability to do 1/4 mile with a rear gear change and a different tune up.
Unless you set the car up properly you would be turning it up pretty hard in 1/2 mile..........But man you would be flying.

I finally found a belt that would work on the Alternator in the 64. This was the issue. It has an Alt. and not the original Genny.
I cut a belt and measured the actual gap to get the right length.
Now, I think the neutral switch has gone bad......:(

Imagine gearing for top end and doing the Silver Stale Classic...

Have been to the one in Clayton, Ga. and was surprised by the lack of Muscle cars there. Turbo's ruled the track that day. Prefer 1/4 mile myself.

Not sure I'd setup a track car for it; but that would be a blast with a "street" car that hasn't been set up for 1/4 or 1/8.

A mile would be frickin' crazy fast. Can't imagine the track liability policy for that one!

Launch on the T-brake hard against the chip.
Let the car roll out through the chipped shift points and do not lift.
If the shift light comes on at the stripe you have it set up for the conditions.
    Run it.
