My point is that, over time, the 51%+ will decide policies based on who they elect. It isn't (and hasn't been) any one election; it has been a gradual adoption and implementation.

Bernie is probably the most likely to go pretty far left. Joe most likely to bring a left of center, but not too far left of center nominee. Mini-Mike is an unknown at this point. He might even go more to the right on a nominee than Joe.

It's just proof the Dems realize how truly bat**** crazy their voters are, this day in age. They saw it's mathematically possible for someone with 35% support in their own party to become President, and when you throw in the appeal of free stuff, they knew it's a done deal if they don't act now.


They are not afraid Bernie will lose to Trump. The RC poll average currently shows Bernie beating Trump by the same margin as Biden. They are afraid he will win.

It turns out that there really _is_ a Left version of "NeverTrump."

There is good analysis in this. They are afraid he may take over the entire party like Trump has and put all of them out, no matter if he wins or loses in the fall.
